The old green foam does not last long. The new white sponge foam is not very functional. Poor replacement so I purchased a brick of green florist foam on Amazon and cut off a section that would fit inside the plastic cartridge which I carefully cut open along the glued seam with a utility knife. The cartridge works great and now it’s very easy to replace the foam when needed at a very cheap cost. After replacing the green foam the cartridge snaps back together. No need to keep buying cartridges that don’t last. Now the cartridge is EVERLASTING PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!!

Not sure what is happening, but the cartridges don't seem to hold water anymore. I used the first 2 cartridges that came with the Oasis for a couple of years. They would work for about a week before I would switch them. The last 2 I ordered in the past couple of months either don't absorb or don't stay wet more than a day or two. I am wondering if the sponges were just old when I got them.

Works great however it fits very tight. Hard to remove.

When I received this refill cartridge I notices it was not the same as previous ones I've purchased. These cartridges normally came pre-filled and had tape over the opening to keep the cartridge from evaporating. When you felt the cartridge it had a little weight to it. This one was light in the hand and when I opened it, I could see it was not pre-filled. It had no tape over the openings. I gathered there was a change in the process and when ahead and charge this new one to get it ready for use. The first charge only lasted 6 days before my Oasis fan began running almost constantly. After an over night recharge, the second recharge only lasted 4 days before the almost constant running of the fan. The merchant did contact me and offered a satisfactory resolution which was most appreciated. Cigar Oasis and the merchant confirmed the new cartridges no longer come pre-filled.

I usually replace mine once a year. It is an exact fit and over the last several years (5-6) I have not really had a problem This year I purchased one in November and again one in December both do not hold any water. Not sure what the change is, but it is very ineffective at this time. I am currently exploring other ways to keep my cigar humidity where I need it. I am not satisfied with the cartridges that are out now

there is a trick to this little item, when i first started using it, seems as if it wasn't holding a charge... found out that if you put it in a air tight container filled with distilled water, it'll keep things fresh for about a month, if you charge it just as your other peters out, it'll last for less than a week, so i let mine soak for about a month and it works great!

Overview Use these in an Oasis Ultra 2.0 humidifier. There really in not an non OEM alternative that I am aware of...so if you are happy with the Oasis unit...keep a few of these on hand. They hold enough water to go about 3-4 weeks without recharging...during the dry winter months (when the humidifier get the most work). It can last over 6 weeks in the summer. Time will depend on the relative humidity where you live...and the quality of your humidor. I change them out every 6 months or so...as the absorbent material inside the cartridge deteriorates and before the absorbed odors get stale smelling. Works very well. Soaks up a lot of water without leaking. Does not break down as fast as the green sponge material.

Only good for about a year as the sponge doesnt seem to retain as much water as time goes on. The frequency of adding water becomes annoying. But for a year its great. Set it and forget it

Since 2015, I have used a number of Ultra 2.0 to maintain humidity in guitar cases. Roughy a month between refills with distilled. The foam in recent cartridges is both smaller and of substandard quality compared to the foam in the original, sealed cartridges. As with other reviews, the 3 new cartridges I received appear to be remanufactured items. They are not sealed and pre-filled as were the originals. Useless things.
