I prepare a lot of Persian and Spanish food and would never be without Saffron in my spice cupboard. This particular brand arrived in a tightly sealed tin. When I opened the tin, I was immediately struck by the fresh and pungent fragrance of the fresh saffron and the beautiful color of the threads. I hadn’t originally planned on fixing paella for dinner, but as soon as I opened the tin, I changed my menu and dashed out to the market to get the rest of the ingredients. This is a great saffron with a clean taste that is very well priced.

The quality of this product was worth the money.

You do not need to buy a more expensive saffron. This saffron is perfect. I have had saffron given to me from people who visited Iran, and this is just as good. The price is also good. The color, aroma, and flavor are perfect.

I am very particular about the quality of Saffron and use it a lot in different Indian dishes. I know that a lot of fake saffron is sold in the marketplace. I bought this one and was pleasantly surprised by the accuracy of the claims by the seller. Good quality, aroma, and great taste. Value for money. Highly recommended.

This week I made Saffron Jewel Rice using a recipe from the internet. It was delicious. Saffron is a rare treat for us because it is so expensive. A little goes a long way though and yields an amazing flavor. And the cost for this container was very reasonable compared to what I would spend for a tiny package in spice jar at the grocery store.

Being an Iranian, I grow up with saffron as the main seasoning in most of our dishes and I personally use it frequently and thus need a lot of it. I usually use about 50-60 grams of it per year, which was always gifted to me by family members who would visit from Iran. However, with all the US sanctions against that country, and the subsequent inflation there, I don't ask any of my family members to send saffron anymore. So, recently when I ran out, I bought this from Amazon. I ordered it because of its positive reviews and because this saffron seemed to be the best price for its presumed quality (negin), and the quantity (5 gram). So when it first arrived, I was impressed by the rich color and the aroma smelling it straight from the can. However, as I started cooking with it, I am very surprised that this saffron does give my food the heavely aroma that was the signature part of my cooking! So, while I do not like to accuse the seller of selling impure saffron ( since I cannot be sure), I can say that this safron does not live up to its reviews and I will not but it again.
