Forever More!!
I will forever more buy these tints, recommend them to everyone and everybody. I first used them as a room darkening when I lived in Florida many years ago and noticed how cool it actually kept my room when I slept. When I moved to my current house I decided to install them on half of the windows on the first floor. The temperature on the first floor changed, I didn’t need to turn the ac so cold to keep the floor cool, and I noticed a slight, cheaper difference in my electricity bill ($10-20 dollars in the middle of the summer with 1/2 windows tinted on the first floor, not including the second floor). Privacy: during the day, whether it’s cloudy or sunny outside, you cannot see inside the house. You can’t see shadows, absolutely nothing. Now when it’s nighttime, you can’t see the lights illuminating inside the home and people inside if you don’t have curtains up. Overall for the price, easy installation, it’s worth the money. Highly recommend.

Easy To Install - 2x Length Of Other Products - QUALITY ABOVE AVERAGE - Coverage Is More Then Expected - BEST PRICE TO VALUE
This was easy to use and put up. I did use the recommended Spray to help with the adhering process. Make sure you clean your window both on the surface being used and the outside surface. With a clean surface and the recommended spray this way easy to put up. I used this on my son's window to help blow the sun from entering his room due to a medical condition. Our neighbors LOVE to have flashing lights that shine into his room and this really blocks out the light. LOOKING FROM OUTSIDE the window LOOKS totally blacked out - with a light on - however, you can see through some of it. I did double up on the bottom part of the window and that seems to have worked well. If anyway was considering doubling up the layers - I have had no issues. I would suggest that you cut the size a bit larger then needed - then once set let site for about 2 hours - then go back and cut to fit. Also I found that using the squeegee and pushing the liquid UP was easier then I would use a paper towel to just wipe across to collect the residue of the spray. I also was able to once dry - take a paper towel and wipe straight down from top to bottom and smooth out any left over bubbles or lines. I was hesitant with buying this product - I AM VERY SATISFIED. In fact from the outside you can NOT see the edges that I had to use to go over as the first time I cut too short. This is perfect for outside doors as well - it gives privacy and also helps with the UV Radiation from the Sun. I will be buying more in the future to do my son's other window. If you are comparison shopping THIS IS THE ONE TO GET. The length is much longer and you do not need to do as much cutting. The box was longer then expected and most come in the length of 1.5FT x 5.9FT this is MUCH LONGER at 3 FEET by 6.5 FEET - it is TWO of the other size boxes in length. This is a think material and easy to manipulate and even was fine when I had to remove it to put onto another window once dry. I have used other Gila products on my windows for decorative purpose and the quality will hold up and stand for years. Thank you for making a GREAT PRODUCT for my SON.

Amazing Tint on my Windows!
I bought the Gila PB78 Residential Window Film, Black 36"x6.5' for my child's nursery. I had bought blackout curtains for this room, but because the curtains are white they still didn't seem to block out the light as much as I wanted. This film/tint worked perfectly. I watched the video from Gila on Youtube and followed the steps exactly - but must have measured incorrectly because on both windows I was a little short. I tried to fix that the next time by cutting a little longer and I found that to be more difficult as cutting it once it was on the window wasn't the easiest - maybe I used too much of the spray solution - I dunno. Regardless it looks fine unless you are a perfectionist (which I am so I tend not to get too close). Once I hung the blinds and curtains the room is perfectly dark - just like I wanted. From the outside it just looks tinted and does not look bad at all. I want to do this on several other windows we have - hopefully I will become better skliied as I do more. Notes: I purchased the Gila Window Film Application Tool Kit and it was extremely helpful. Two roles of 36"x6.5' worked on my two bedroom windows which had 4 panels to tint. Unfortunately due to the cutting I had to waste about 2 feet of tint on each role - however I could probably use this in another room of the house. One bottle of the solution was plenty for the two windows - didn't need more than that and there is extra. I used my own squeegee that I had in my shower and it was perfect for getting the bubbles out of the film and clearing out the solution from the corners of the window. Overall this film did exactly what I needed it to do and it took no time at all!

Amazing product and easy to install!
This is an amazing product. I bought the install kit from the manufacturer and it had everything needed to make this a super easy project. I am not what you would call "handy" with projects like this so I was a bit nervous about doing this. But it went really well. Nice and smooth, without bubbles. Since there is no adhesive I will be able to remove it without any problems and possibly reuse it. I got this because our house gets super hot in the summer from the sun pouring into the foyer. I needed to do something to block the heat. This works amazing. It does exactly what I needed it to do. Our foyer stays cool and I can still see our the windows! A win-win! The quality is superior! Very happy. Highly recommend!

OMG I AM HAPPY!
I bought a small roll of this at Lowe's for about $20. We tinted our sliding glass door in our bedroom. Our master bedroom faces directly East. We had curtains, the sun still beamed through the door. We put up blinds, still no relief. I'm tired of waking up at 5am because it's so bright in our bedroom and always HOT. We live in Arizona. When we put up the first panel I immediately felt the temperature drop. When we put up the 2nd I felt it drop again. Instant relief. We also had to turn on the bedroom light to see! The temperature dropped 4 degrees in less than an hour. I was sooooo happy we have decided to do the whole house, which is what prompted me to look for a bigger roll and buy this 100 foot one on Amazon. The hardest part is the cutting. The only thing the manufacturer could do to improve this product is put 1/8" gridlines on the back to make it easier to measure and cut. You do need a pretty large work area (as big or a little bigger than whatever size you are cutting). It needs to be level, a hard surface for cutting, yet smooth and clean. You need a yard stick sized ruler for the straight edge. It's so easy to install, my husband and I did the cuts and I could actually install it myself. You must use the spray stuff (Gila Window Film Application Solution) to apply it. You spray the stuff on the window (be generous in your spraying), then apply the film. At this point you can slide the film around until you get it perfectly in the position you want it to be in. You then just use the little squeegee thing that comes with the spray to smooth it down and get the bubbles out. I guess it doesn't sound very easy now that I'm typing it but trust me, it's simple. There are no bubbles in even our first window. It's amazing. It obviously doesn't black out your windows but it darkens your room about 75% more than it was. You can't see through it at all during the day from the outside but at night if it's dark outside and you have the light on inside you can sorta see in. It looks really nice from the outside, too. It's so amazing. This is the happiest purchase I have made in a long, long time.

Good but has its flaws
I used this product to block out the sun from a large window in my house. I like the tint, it's still see-through in day and pitch black at night. I'm not super handy but I am also capable of doing things around the house myself and thought this was very hard to put on a large window by myself w/o having it sticking to itself once I peeled it off of the paper backing. It was very clingy so it might catch on to your shirt, table, arm, etc. and pick up some lint, which will cause tiny bubbles once applied. The material is rubbery and thicker than tint for a car so cutting it while still wet w/ a sharp box cutter was difficult and didn't always cut when applied to the window. The edges that I did cut don't look nice and straight like I hoped but it's good enough. They make it look so easy on the installation videos but that was not the case when you're trying to do it by yourself or even w/ a second person to help out. I also noticed that it actually attracts more heat than a window w/o this film. If you're concerned about the extra head then maybe you should think twice, especially if you get a lot of sunlight on a hot summer day. I don't think it'll be an issue when it's a little cooler and the sun isn't as intense. The heat that comes from it is noticeable for me but not so much where its a big deal and I need to take it off. The payoff of having the sun blocked out is worth it the cost of not having it there. I'd purchase it again but only because I don't have a better alternative.

Easy install, does great job, recommended instructions in my review for easy install guidance
Privacy film works perfectly for what I’m looking for. During the daytime the outside view of the window looks black, inside view a good tint but you can still see what’s going on outside. During night time you can see outside the window and see moderately inside if the lights are on. Before installing I wiped the windows down with Windex to clean the windows and then sprayed the window heavily with Windex before applying the privacy film. If you don’t use enough Windex before application, the Windex will evaporate and the film won’t be as lubricated anymore. So don’t be shy using heavy windex (it’ll evaporate naturally). I peeled all the white backing off and eyeballed applying the film to the window. If you get it offset, simply peel it back off and reapply more Windex if needed. I used my driver license card to smooth the bubbles (Windex) out of the film starting with the top and moving horizontally down to the bottom. Don’t apply the film and wait 10 minutes or the film will become stiff and you’ll end up with air bubbles in your film and puncture the film, leaving permenant damage on the film. After working from top to bottom, I then used a circular razor blade on the excess edges and left 1/4 inch of privacy film past the edge of the windows to prevent light from leaking through the perimeter of the window. I used a small round razor knife to begin trimming the excess film edges and then follow up with a traditional razor blade. If you press too heavily you’ll cut into your wood trim, etc. overall, I’m pretty happy with this purchase and already bought more film for other windows in my house.

Good quality
Looks great,, but. Be prepared and have patience. Glass MUST be perfectly clean. Everything will show through if you don’t and it will not stick properly. I found out the hard way. Especially the corners. It took me almost an hour to do the first window. I had 4 to do. It also moves around as you’re trying to trim it. Patience’s is a virtue for sure. Also must buy the applicator spray and kit. The kit come with the knife, an empty spray bottle for the application fluid, and squeegee. That is a separate purchase. A note, do not use the squeegee for anything else. If it gets any knicks in it from the knife, it will scratch the material. Another lesson. I did not know that until I read the instructions. I had another day of downtime because I didn’t know. When done correctly, it looks great and definitely keeps the room cooler. The material seems to be good quality. Good luck.
