The Finish Hammer
Love the handle style and the feel. Swings effortlessly.

Terrible quality! Looks like a factory reject hammer.
Professional Carpenter here. This hammer I received is terrible quality. Looks like a defective or reject hammer. Sharp edges all around the head of the hammer & unpolished spots. Wood handle is rough, grain wrong direction like it was cut incorrectly..... Hole in the bottom surface of the hammer that was not in my last dalluge or Vaughn hammers. Grain not sealed in spots and rough all over. Looks like a factory rejected hammer or something. Owned many dalluge, vaughn hammers & never had one look like this. Glue/epoxy?? leaking out from the seam where Hammer head meets handle. Sharp burs along that edge also. Wedges and wood on top surface above hammer head are uneven & not cut flush also wedges sticking out (protruding). Can't speak for all the hammers but the one I received is unacceptable.

Good hammer
This is a really nice hammer especially for the money. Only thing is mine came painted black and not polished like the picture. Not a huge deal...still a great hammer. Would buy again.

what a great trim hammer!
professional trim carpenter here - i had been looking around for a quality hammer for the past couple of months now and came across the Dalluge brand on some carpentry forums. after doing some research i decided i would give it a try and i'm very happy i did. this is the perfect hammer for trim/finish work. the longer curved handle provides excellent grip while giving a great, perfectly balanced feel to the hammer. the straight claw and smooth face are also nice, and the claw can grab about any size nail you could find. the 16oz model gives just the right amount of weight for trim work, not too light for beating in lots of drywall around doors and windows, and not too heavy to be swinging it all day. made very well, i love this hammer!

Absolutely a great trimming hammer; incredible value.
Love this hammer. Well made, balanced, comfortable to swing. Been using it as a trim hammer driving 8’s, 6’s and 4’s while installing door jams, casings and baseboard. The tempering on the claws could be harder, but for the price? This is an incredible value in a hammer. I own at least thirty hammers, and obviously different hammers for different jobs, but this is the one I’m using currently, and I’m actually enjoying using it. I’m actually trimming with it instead of using the nail guns. :)

False advertising, not polished
Disappointing quality for a $40 hammer advertised as "top quality", and "polished"... Hammer is fairly solid, but poorly finished, at best the finish is "brushed" and in some places, just bare casting... Lots of mold flash and all the edges needed to be filed down and we're knife sharp upon receipt... Handle was covered in a slippery shellac or similar and was sanded off and refinished with some Danish oil... Now it's a pretty good hammer after an hour labor and some hand tools and finish, but still isn't polished...

Best Hammer
I'm a professional carpenter/ remodeler. I swing a hammer 250+ days a year. This is the best hammer I've ever owned, used, or even seen. Period. The balance is perfect. The handle shape allows a confident grip without straining to squeeze it tight. The claws are shaped perfectly, unlike any I've ever seen. It's been abused for 2 years and looks like it should last another 4-5 before the handle needs replaced. Just buy this Dalluge and throw away your others. You won't regret it.
