Love the look of the pearl and the chain, elegant, but chain needs work. After wearing it ONE TIME, my husband was cautiously taking it off and the chain broke off the clasp. It can not be fixed. Disappointed and angry. I searched for a very long time for this and do not why they would put that lovely pear on such a piece of garbage chain. So bear this in mind if you want it.

I am revising this review after having some email conversations with the seller. This product is 18" inches in length, however, just note that due to the size of the pearl and the fact that it does not drop down, but it on the chain like a bead, it takes up a bit of room and thus, seems to be shorter in length when you put it on your neck, sort of like a choker. I hope this clears up any misunderstanding. I do like it though and may get the pink pearl as well.Very good quality.Decided to splurge a bit and buy this as it was advertised as a high quality pearl. It is pretty and I like the sparkly chain, the way it catches the light.However, I do not think the chain is 18" as stated, but 16", so be careful there. Still it fits and dress's up a pair of jeans and t-shirt or whatever you wear.

As a June baby, pearls are 1 of my 3 birthstones (pearls, alexandrites, and moonstones are all birthstones for that month) and my mom started giving them to me several years ago, some of them mounted, others loose but drilled to be mounted at another time but none of them drilled all the way through. I saw a floating pearl necklace on a co-worker awhile ago and wanted one, but couldn't use any of my pearls to make it. I decided to give this one to myself as a Christmas present, though I was leary of the pearl's size. 10mm just seemed, I don't know, too much, but the gorgeous color had me willing to give it a chance.When it arrived - exactly when expected and packed very securely - I opened the box and felt sad. It seemed too big for my style, as I was afraid of. I thought I'd just send it back. Then...I put it on.As it happened, I had another pearl pendant necklace on at the time, a 6mm soft blue pearl with a small diamond at the top, on a 22" sterling silver box chain. This necklace, layered above that one... made my jaw drop! Gorgeous, simply gorgeous! The bigger size lent an aspect of natural strength that balanced well with the delicate softness of my smaller, blue pearl. Now I wear them together almost every day, only taking them off when I'm doing laps in the pool or working out. Honestly, I used to layer my blue pearl with a princess cut sapphire on an 18" chain. I happen to love that sapphire! But it spends more days in my jewelry box now, replaced by this necklace.I got lucky and saw that the price had come down $40 right before Thanksgiving, and I jumped on it! But finding it to be more than I was looking for, I'd pay full price if I had to do it again.

This was a Christmas. The pearl was beautiful. Very disappointed in the on the chain. I order it reading that it had a lobster closure, it came with a cheap loop. I paid $180 for necklace, to have the lobster closure would cost me any other $80. Not happy....

I was hesitant to order jewelry online, but knowing I could return it for a full refund, minus a few dollars for shipping, I figured I had nothing to lose.The pearl is as beautiful as described. It was a gift for my fiancee and she loves it. I like the fact that it's not mounted to a loopy piece of gold with a cheap diamond chip on it, which is mostly what I saw before I came across this one. If you're looking for a solitaire pearl necklace, it is just that. Simple, but elegant. The chain is very nice also, and both the chain and clasp are well made and sturdy.When the pearl arrived I had a couple of questions so I emailed the company and within a few hours I got a response from the owner of the company with my questions answered. You can't ask for any better customer service than that. Plus their website contains a lot of helpful information.Overall, I am 100% satisfied with the looks and quality of the necklace and my overall shopping experience with HinsonGayle. I will definitely be ordering from them in the future.

The chain is very cheaply made when taken out the package it looked black in some spots I like to return the whole thing.I paid good money for this cheap looking thing I am very dissatisfied and disappointed.

I bought a cheaper pearl solitaire necklace and was so disappointed that I am returning it. I bought it on the basis of the chain being 14k white gold vs. the sterling silver of this version.The size of the pearl was not really a factor.Bad decision!To be fair, the chain is really pretty BUT also very difficult to put on and take off which is especially important with pearls as they shouldn't be exposed to body lotions or perfumes.I was disappointed with the pearl. Almost lustreless, slightly ovoid, not round, it looked like a plastic bead.I am so happy with this HinsonGayle pearl necklace. Chain is pretty, easy and secure clasp and the pearl is beautiful. It glows with gorgeousness like it was lit from within.This is a keeper and my children will probably argue about who is the lucky inheritor.Well worth spending the extra $$$, you won't regret it.P.S. Beautifully packaged like the fine jewelry it is.
