Amazing Instant Noodles!!
These are so good! Where do I begin? Price Point: I got these as a 30 count which ended up being about 81 cents a package. It's more expensive than a cheap ramen at the grocery store, but way cheaper than a lot of other quick/easy instant meals. It's definitely worth the buy if you're eating on a budget, but an even better money saver even if you're not! Noodles: The noodles have a great chew for instant noodles of this price point. They don't get too soggy too fast. This is amazing for me because I'm a bit of a slow eater and hate when my noodles get all soft and soggy since they're hard to slurp. Broth: The hot and sour flavor is great. I've never had the real thing and now I wish I had tried sooner! It's hard to get sick of even after eating several days in a row. I like that the chili packets come separate from the rest of the flavoring so I can decide how spicy I'm feeling, but even the full packet isn't that spicy for me, and I have a high heat tolerance. If you're looking for something really hot in that regard, you will want to add more chili. Other: The only addon I've tried is cooked shrimp, and if you can afford to add even a handful of shrimps to this, it's totally worth it! Delicious noodles.

I grew up eating this comfort food. Easy, fast, delicious, easily improved/modified. Full of flavor.
If you're ordering 30 packages of ramen, chances are you already know what you're getting and want a stash of it. But in case you don't: Mama Tom Yum is my personal comfort food. I've been eating this since I was a little girl; it's the go-to meal in my (Chinese-Malaysian-American) household because it's easy and fast to make, DELICIOUS, and can be improved with the addition of your own fresh ingredients. Each ramen packet comes with one ramen block, one 'wet' oil/paste flavour packet, one 'sour'/lemongrass powder flavor packet, and one chili powder packet. I've found that one package is an appropriate portion for one person with a moderate appetite (like me). You can vary the spice/flavor level by putting in more or less of the chili powder or lemongrass powder when you cook it. It's super easy and takes <10 minutes to prepare. The best method, in my personal opinion, is to bring some water (enough to cover the ramen brick) to a boil in a saucepan. Then, drop in the ramen brick. As it's boiling, open the wet oil/sauce packet and squeeze it in. Then goes the sour/lemongrass flavouring powder, then the chili powder. The ramen will soften, so stir it with a fork and mix it in; let it cook for a few minutes, and voila! But for the BEST Mama Tom Yum experience, crack an egg into it a minute or two before it's done and let the egg cook into a delicious soft-boiled egg on top of the ramen. Other great toppings/additions: bok choy, mushrooms, leftover shredded chicken, roast duck, roast pork, etc. Finally, I like just a dash of sesame oil on top right at the end of cooking for extra flavor.

I Love Mama.
I've tried many brands of Ramen but Mama no matter the flavor is in its own league. The flavors are really nice but the noodles are hands down the best. The noodles never get that gummy texture like some. Mama is really hard to beat. The portion size is just right and only takes a few minutes from start to finish. I like to use a little less water than is called for. Every once in awhile I'll add shrimp, beef or chicken plus some veggies or dried mushrooms to make a real meal. A little bit of Thai chili sauce or chili crisp is nice to bring the heat up a bit too. I love these kind of noodles because there's a lot of flexibility in what you can do with them. Plus they're an inexpensive snack or base for a real meal.

Better than I even hoped for. (UPDATE: use it quickly - 1 star off for short shelf life)
September 2020: The Best By date on these is December 2020 (purchased February 2020), but they are already tasting a bit rancid. They tasted fine when I got them so I guess they just go bad really quickly. The flavor packets stay good, just the noodles go bad. This was my third purchase, and this time I’m really certain. I would store in the fridge whatever I thought I wouldn’t eat within 3-4 months. Both my previous purchases I ended up throwing out about half the packages because they’d gone rancid. I kept the flavor packets though, and used them with some 5/$1 ramen from the dollar store, and that was fine. Previous review: I’m almost addicted to these things. Second purchase. If it’s not quite restaurant Tom Yum flavor (which I sometimes find overly sweet anyway), for around $.50 and three minutes, it sure scratches that itch. If I substituted some canned mushrooms, cooked shrimp, and cilantro for the noodles, I think it’d come pretty close. Can’t wait to try adding some coconut milk for a Tom Kha. Could an instant soup be any cozier in the autumn? I have a low to medium tolerance for spicy-ness and without the chili powder added, I find this level pleasantly warm. My last purchase was a bit short-dated and the noodles tasted slightly off, but this round is good and fresh with a reasonable 9-month best-by date. About $16 with Prime shipping.

I’ve developed an addiction. These things are so good! Loaded with sodium and msg. Help me!

Great instant noodle. Flavour is unique like a real Tom Yum soup. There's a hint of lime/citrus taste in its spiciness, which makes it very refreshing. Spiciness level is low, you'll enjoy it even if you are not accustomed to hot flavour.

The best tasting shrimp flavoured instant noodles money can buy.

I had purchased the MaMa pork flavour first, and prefer it over this shrimp noodle soup flavour. I find this soup to have an unusual tomatoey flavour to it, but no shrimp flavour. To each his own, of course. Good price point, just not my go to noodle soup.
