Nissin Cup O Noodles Hearty Chicken, 2.25-Ounce (Pack of 12)

I love these! So yummy! I made a mistake and cooked them on the stovetop too long, so do recommend cooking in the microwave using a BPA free cooking dish, like the Ramen Cookers. My favorite additions to the soup is to add salt, pepper, McCormick seasonings...garlic salt, garlic powder and Italian seasonings. If you prefer spicier foods, I add ground red curry powder too. Topped with NABISCO Saltine crackers and I think it is a satisfying lunch. Need to add fruit and vegetables and a little dairy/protein to make it a whole meal that would meet USDA regulations, but if you aren't worried about that, then the cup is good as is. I supplemented my meal with SKIPPY Creamy Peanut Butter and Mott's Sensibles juice, Apple Pineapple variety. Also added NATURE VALLEY Coconut Butter Biscuits which have some protein and iron and a LARA BAR, Pecan Pie.

Beware, these are "hearty chicken" not the ones that are pictured. These are the ones that my son wanted and was SO GLAD to find them on AMazon! I found them somewhere in a store and brought them home- and never could find them again. One thing, the price is higher than usual (appears to be almost double since the run about $.50 normally)... but my son is away at college and I had them shipped directly to him. I would have paid at least $8 shipping... so I feel that I got a very good deal considering they shipped directly to him... and, in 2 days. Great flavor WITHOUT veggies... which is what he likes. :-)

There are so many 'variations' on this product that it is difficult to know what you are going to get after you order. I am no longer certain which, if any, contain vegetables or which kind. No more peas? Just four corn kernels per bowl? DO NOT RELY ON THE PHOTOS! Sizes, packaging, pricing, labeling, and contents are all very confused. Does "Hearty" chicken soup have more (any?) chicken beyond regular chicken soup which has NO chicken? Return postage costs make it unwise to return unwanted noodles, so I am done with these. I can buy a skid-load of these at the store for a few bucks... and I'll SEE what I am getting.

I have been searching for this product at my local stores to no avail... Finally I broke down and spent a few extra dollars to get it online. I love Amazon sometimes. Great flavor, great packaging, and it just took extra time. I was a little worried they might get broken upon shipping, but everything was great. Same quality as you would get from the store.

I have no problem with hearty chicken flavor, however I was searching for the regular chicken flavor with the vegetables, as shown in the picture supplied. Someone really should supply a picture that accurately reflects the product being sold. Imagine my surprise when I opened my shipment and got hearty chicken (without vegetables) instead of what I had searched for. Cup Noodles makes a fine product regardless of flavor, but I was looking for something specifically different which is not what I received. That being said, I like to shake up the monotony by adding a dash of curry powder (and maybe a little red pepper) before pouring in the water and letting it steep, plus I usually let it sit for an extra minute or two.

Soup is easy to fix for a quick snack. FLAVOR IS GREAT. I usually have a piece of cheddar with it.

Not at all what I expected. I had always bought Nissin Homestyle chicken but it disappeared months ago and haven't been able to find it anywhere. I thought this would be it renamed since it just appeared. This is no different, to me, than their regular cup of noodles. I sure wish I hadn't ordered this. NISSIN WHERE IS THE HOMESTYLE??? It can't be found anywhere.

The flavor is delicious and soothing. I like this flavor because it does not have the freeze-dried vegetable cuts that other varieties have that don't re-hydrate and are too tough to eat. It is perfect when you aren't feeling well because it is comforting.
