Used to fix velux blind
This was perfect for fixing my velux window blind. Slim but strong and works perfectly. I also used it to replace light pull string and have lots left for other projects.

Fiddly
I purchased this cord to replace the pull-cord on a light-switch which had broken after years of use. It comprises a woven sleeve around a central multi-filament bundle. Potentially it's the right size for this use but trying to poke it through the narrow holes in the fitment, the sleeve consistently concertina'd away from the core. Curses! (Many!!) Inspiration eventually struck. I sealed the end in a flame, made sure to pinch the molten blob nice and narrow before it set. (Ow!) Sorted! This would doubtless also work well to seal any knots.A word of warning though. The cord is flammable. Go carefully or it seems likely to drip flaming blobs on the carpet!
