MagEyes Magnifier #2 and #4 Lenses

These are all that they say they are. I bought another kind but had to return them because I couldn't wear them over my glasses to cross stitch. These work just fine for this purpose. They are really lightweight , which make them easy to wear for long periods of time. Highly recommend them.

Last year I began stitching after a vey long hiatus, and found that my now-older eyes can't quite focus on the linen and evenweaves I love. I'd squint and get a headache. Tried 3.0 readers, but still couldn't easily stitch on anything higher than 18-20 count aida. Mageyes with the 4.0 lens make the threads in linen pop! Seriously, it's so easy to see I can't believe the difference.I won't wear a headband, ever, because they all give me headaches. But my Mageyes band rests so lightly on my head that I can stitch in complete comfort for hours. This was my biggest concern but I need not have worried. I love my Mageyes!

This magnifying headset is the best $17 I've spent in years. It's lightweight (I have found myself wandering around the house, having forgotten I'm still wearing it!), eyeglasses-friendly, and work perfectly. After wrestling with standalone magnifiers that were never quite in the right place, I took a chance on these--and they're brilliant. It took a couple of days of needlework to get accustomed to the small field of view, but now I don't even notice it. The magnification is always exactly where you're looking, and the angle is adjustable, so you can put the viewer in the right spot to look through the magnifier at your needlework, and over the magnifier at the chart (or TV). | HOWEVER. The plastic clamshell case it comes in is such a nuisance. The device feels a little bit fragile, like it needs to be kept in a protective case when not being worn (lest it be smashed or scratched by your scissors in your work bag), and it's nice having several lenses available... but every time you open the case, everything falls right out, and there's no easy way to keep everything in place. Treat yourself to this fantastic, inexpensive little tool--but also invest in a better thing to store it in.

Is durable and easy to use. I can easily red gift cards and do close work with my quilting & sewing easier.

These are the perfect strength for embroidery. I thought perhaps I would need something stronger but these are just right. I can even use them while wearing my bifocals. I am very pleased.
