Westbrass ECBELL1CP Elizabethan Classics 1/2-Inch Solid Brass IPS Bell Flange

What we like was how fast they came and was exactly what we were expecting

Hole size is for 1/2 FIP and measures .850 the fingers will grip a 1/2 FIP pipe (0.840 OD). The picture for chrome is incorrect, but the other versions ARE correct. There is no flat area on the top of the flange since the hole is almost as big as the top side. I am using on a stainless pipe which is 8.800, but since this will be on the floor it's OK if the flange is not snug on the pipe. Quality of the chrome plating is excellent, and the part IS INDEED BRASS. Don't know about the nickel finish part. One reviewer said it is steel(ferrous). Just to verify, I used a magnet to test the part; it is brass. because of the comments, I had to order the part and see if it actually has a hole big enough for 1/2 FIP; it does and the picture, once again, is incorrect for the chrome part. Lastly, it is a fairly good weight of brass. One I ordered from "another' mfgr was quite thin and flimsy.

I somehow was under the impression that "Solid Brass" meant a thick, rugged, heavy coreNo. This is flimsy "sheet" brass stamped and chrome plated, no different than the cheap available at hardware stores. Likely will rust in a year or two just like them. Totally disappointed.

Worked exactly like I needed

Simple. Clean. Not too expensive. Fit correctly (although snug). Fixed the problem of the yucky old one. Done!
