Does exactly what it says, works as expected.

Update 10-02-18: I’ve been using this more than I should be but my experience has changed. The location you puncture the can is just as important as anything else. I found that if I used this too low on the can of freon, I’d have problems. Once i found the “sweet spot” it worked much better. I’ve had this on a partial can for about a month with no loss. I’ve raised my rating but I’m leaving one star off due to the lack of instructions or guidance included with the packaging.Original review: I’m mixed on this. It worked well through the first three cans. The next two, the can dented as the probe went in which left me with a leaking can.When the fitting enters the can without mis-shaping the can, it works very well and does not leak.So, it worked about 1/2 the time but my method of punching the can can’t be left out of the equation either.

Brought cheap one first that didn't fit my 134 hoses. So bought name brand and I'm glad I did. I've owned several sidetaps in the past,this one is my favorite. The adaptors are hinged on tool so can't lose them. Glad I got this one. Now if it doesn't grow legs.

Will fit 3" cans , seals well , durable.

i was concerned about this being made out of plastic, not an issue this is one strong tool. seals around the can puncture, easy to use.i will have this tool for years, very strong, easy to useif you are looking for one of these, you might find one as well made but you won't find one betterside note, i needed to rig up a on/off valve, not an issue with the tool, just took a few min to figure out how to do it also it was hard to estimate how much if any freon was left in the can as the tool is a little heavy so there is a learning curve

Its made in china but it's solid. Can't say if its more solid than the less expensive ones but it did hold its seal. I used it with air duster cans to fill my r-12 system. Less stars only cuz its made in China. CPS products advertises on their website about making stuff here(which they mostly do)

Versatile and functional.

This works great for puncturing cans for recharging air conditioning systems, no need for buying screw on valves.
