Nice improvement to the grip
The Colt XSE models have a smooth frontstrap. While that is not a problem for me, I do find the grip overall to be slightly small. This Pearce frontstrap enhancement is shaped just right for your three fingers to securely hold the grip. The very slight enlargement of the grip is beneficial too. Installation is easy. Remove the grip panels, put the Pearce in place, put the panels back on. In my case, I had to trim the "wings" just a bit for the ambi safety, and I trimmed the top of the other side just a little, too. Easy to mark with a Sharpie, then trim with scissors. Once in place, it looks good and feels good. The Colt XSE has an undercut trigger guard, and, for me at least, it seemed like the Pearce grip was designed with that trigger guard undercut in mind, as my finger fits perfectly in the resulting slot. I haven't had it to the range yet, but just practicing with the Laserlyte Laser Target, I can tell my grip on the gun is better. Inexpensive and it works.

Took a little trimming... Look and Feel AWESOME!
Installed these on my Desert Eagle 1911 C (Full size 1911 with about half an inch shaved off the barrel). The install took a few minutes due to my grips being stuck some weird way. I also had to trim the rubber off of the Pearce Grips in order to make it mount flush with the bottom of the hand guard. I only had to trim a little bit off, but I decided to take it a step further and make it flush with the actual wood grips, so a whole lot more was trimmed. The holes were slightly too far apart, causing the center of the rubber grips to bow in towards the frame a little bit. I was worried about magazine feed issues due to this. But once the Walnut Grips were installed over it, the grips were tight and the magazine fed nicely with no snags. The 1911 definitely feels better, more ergonomic. Even a guy with big fat hands like myself. These grips really do garner a 5-star review for price, ease of installation, overall quality and how it absolutely transform the feel of your gun. Get these for your 1911; you can't go wrong.

These are a great addition to any 1911 or variant
These are a great addition to any 1911 or variant! I have two 1911's with Pachmayr Grips For Colt 1911 with Deluxe Pacwood Panels. They are wonderful! Greatly improve handling, feel, looks, shooting comfort, weapon control and accuracy. However, the Pachmayr's cost 3 x's as much and you only have the Pachmayr side panels. These Pearce rubber grips fit UNDER your side panels! Please be aware of this. Once installed, with my side panels over the rubber, my 3rd 1911 handles just like the ones with the Pachmayr's. However, I now have the incredible look of a polished Stainless Steel 1911, with psuedo Ivory grip panels (great looking imitations) and the benefit of the finger grooves rubber grip, plus +$23 in my pocket! If your thinking about these grips, go for it!! You won't be disappointed. Please be aware; these are a moulded rubber product, it may be necessary to trim a little bit here and there for a proper look and fit. No big deal! Get out the Exacto Razor Knife, trim a little here or there if necessary for a 'right looking' fit and enjoy your new shootin' iron! Great product for the money! Yes, I will and have recommended these to a friend.

Great grips but have to trim for ambi's
Very nice product received today and was excited to put it on my gun. I figured out after removing the grip screws that it would not fit my ambi-safety, this would be a problem but I took out my handy scissors and cut off the small (about 1/2-1 cm) piece that was blocking the ambi-safety and it fit just right. Felt great in the hands and will be uploading a picture of just how it looks under my grips. I still have the Taurus factory grips but am hoping to buy some stag or ivory grips this weekend. Beautiful fit and I even received it within 4 days with free shipping! This set of grips is great for shooting accurately and quickly. I was hitting in a pattern of less than an inch at 12 yards at the range this weekend. We had a target with a full detail face and I was able to shoot the eye with 5 of my 7 shots, and quickly recover from the recoil of my .45, I would recommend this grip for anyone.

Simple, cheap, and beneficial
Silly little rubber grip enhancer actually serves several useful functions; 1. The obvious - provides finger grips. 2. Thin, but that little bit makes the grip screws more recessed (more comfort unless the screws were already sunken). 3. That little bit of thickness also fattens up the 1911 grip a couple mm - fits larger hands better. Some of the rubber peeks out from under the grips. You could trim the edges if you want. Easy enough to remove if/when you don't want it. Costs about the same as ½ box of .45ACP ammo.

Pearce front grip works great.
Needed some trimming, no big deal, they work perfect on my kimber stainless pro carry II. I paired it with coolhand g10 grips.

Nice Product - Takes a little fitting...
This does take a little fitting to your grip. I used a very sharp hobby knife to pre-trim, then installed under grip. Final trimming was done by removing and trimming again. Be patient and take your time - it's not too bad and the end result is a nice-looking, well-fitting finger groove grip. Adds very little (not noticeable in the hand or by looks) width to the grip, and my grip screws fit just fine after install.

For the price, I expected a cheaper made product than the one that arrived. Bought it for an inexpensive Norinco 1911 I own so I didn't want to spend a ton on accessories for it. These were not only much better constructed than expected, they were super easy to install and totally changed the feel of the grip for the better. I plan to order two more of these very soon and will be using the same seller.

My Pearce grips arrived sooner than expected, and fit under the walnut 1911 grips perfectly. I look forward to shooting my .22 caliber Beeman P1 air pistol all summer with these new grips!

These grips are amazing! Not only are they as described, but they exceeded my expectations. The grips were so easy to install. It took less than two minutes. The look and, more importantly, the feel the grips add to my air pistol are fantastic. They are definitely decent quality. *Update* I ordered this grip again. It is excellent!

Put it on a HW45 and it feels a whole lot better and looks great too. Haven't practiced enough yet to see if my aim has improved but I would expect some improvement for very little expense.
