Can't believe this is as good as it is!
Okay, so I bought this item nearly four years ago now. Honestly wasn't expecting much for the price. It was factory pre seasoned which was... Well it was okay... Nothing terrible about it, but honestly.. not the finest seasoning I've ever seen. Stripped the whole thing back to bare with a good scrubbing, reoiled it and seasoned it properly in the over for an hour. And since then? It's been outstanding, used regularly, treated well over the four years we've had it. I can't believe we paid so little for such a great piece of kit! I've had to strip it back once, and that's only because someone looking after our house put it in the dishwasher and then left it soak for a week 🤦🤦 (they'll never find the body, don't worry). Picture attached is the item after four years of regular use. Don't think I've ever been so impressed with an Amazon purchase.

Good product!
The quality of the cast iron, especially considering the value, is great. Initially, I seasoned it with about 5 layers, and season it with 1-2 layers after cooking. Of course, cast irons are a little finicky and require some intuition with the cleaning part; they’re not the most scratch resistant- although, that isn’t due to this particular brand, more the material, hence the 4 star rating. I’ve found when well seasoned it’s as good as non stick, and it allows for a great sear, the perfect grill alternative. IMO it also gives food more flavour. It IS heavy, and does require heat protective gloves, even just using on stovetop, so be aware of that if that is a deal breaker for you. Again, none of these faults are due to this particular make or product, it’s purely the nature of a cast iron skillet! I got the largest size, and that works perfectly for a household of anywhere from 2-4.

A cast-iron pan that does not have a toxic coating.
Wow, such a bargain, a beautiful solid iron pan that I can transfer from stove top to the oven. It is of good quality at a budget price.

Takes some practice but it's worth it.
I've had a cast iron pan in the past and thought I'd get another, this is really good for the money, I've used it for about a month so far and it has worked perfectly the whole time. It is more effort than a regular pan, you need to do some research and don't expect it to be perfect straight away, wipe a little veg oil on it and stick it on the oven for an hour, do this 3/4 times in the first week and do it again every 2-4 weeks and this helps keep it non stick. Dont submerge it in water or use a dishwasher and dry thourally afterwards and even stick it on the hob for 5 mins after to get it completely dry as it can rust easily, also you want to cook with a little extra oil or fatty food to begin with but now I can cook bacon, eggs and steaks with no sticking at all. The final thing about this that is amazing is being able to put it straight in the oven for example if cooking chicken breast you can marinade or season it and fry and crisp up the skin and outside and then stick it in the oven in the pan to finish cooking. Anyways it's amazing, if you don't mind the extra time it takes when you first get it to make it into a great pan then I would 100% recommend it, if you want one perfectly non stick to start with you may have to go for a more expensive pan but this is really amazing for the price and makes the best food I've had in a long time.

Poor Quality with enamel chipping when hi
I was excited to pirates this cast iron pan after the positive reviews. When I received the pan, I washed it in soapy water and followed the instructions to apply a thin layer of vegetable oil on the surface of the pan and preheat the pan, crank it up to 180°C and place the pan upside down on the rack inside the oven for one hour. Then leave the pan in oven for 45 mins and flip it over to bake for an additional 15 mins. I warmed the pan on low heat and oiled it again to cook naan bread. The bread stuck to the surface of the pan and pulled off the enamel. I added a little oil again but it continued to stick. The enamel of the pan came off the surface of the pan and I had black chipped enamel pieces in the pan with the bread. I reported this to the seller and sent a photo of the broken and chipped enamel in the pan. I received a response from the seller, dismissing this defect with a 25% discount and to keep the pan. The discount was processed immediately without an opportunity to reject the offer and I was cut off to respond back to the seller. I immediately opted to return the defective item and Amazon stepped up with a refund of the balance of the item. No amount of re-seasoning can fix a broken chipped enamel car iron pan. It is recommended to avoid using a chipped and broken enamel cast iron pan for cooking. The main concern is that the chipped enamel could continue to break off, potentially contaminating your food. While the exposed cast iron is not inherently dangerous, the risk of ingesting enamel fragments is a significant health concern. Extremely disappointed with the quality of this product and the service of the seller to return it replace the defective item. I would not recommend purchasing this product.

Perfect
Great skillet, says pre-seasoned but I just cleaned and re-seasoned. Not sure I would trust their pre-season

Pan works but metal has bent.
Had this just shy of 2 years now. Still doing what's required. The only downside is not long after using it the bottom bowed up and the pan base is no longer flat. When you put oil in the pan there is oil round the edges but not on the centre.
