Page Patterns: Just Plain Simplicity

A lot of work went in to this book and I am grateful. There are many sketches that I am eager to use. The sketches are smaller than I was anticipating but I don't believe that will be a problem. I like having multiple photos on a page. However, I think the multiple photo layouts are excessive even for me. There are over 40 pages of layouts with 15-30+ pictures. There are also several pages to add your own sketches. A selling point for some probably, but I was looking for more ideas.

This book is exactly what I was looking for. It has some great ideas on how to layout pages. I always have a hard time coming up with layouts of my own and end up either putting too much or too little on a page. This book is a great visual guide to help me figure out just how much I want to have on a scrapbook page. The layouts are simple enough to follow and come out looking amazing. (Will update with photos soon).Love it and would recommend it to anyone looking for some scrapbooking inspiration that isn't confusing and too over the top.

I bought all three of these books and as a person who suffered from severe scrapper's block - I think they are fantastic! The layouts are simple but more experienced scrappers could easily use them as a base to make more elaborate layouts. The author has not included photo measurements on each layout but there is a little grid included so that you can easily work out how big each photo should be - which is great. You get about 600 layouts in each book so if you buy all three books or even if you only buy one, by the time you flip and turn each map upside down, you will never need to buy another book again. I highly recommend these books - they are fantastic. No more scrapper's block!

I am an avid scrapbooker. I tend to not buy books and do my own thing, however I love this book. There are sketches of different layouts. I actually like that there are no pictures of completed pages with each layout. This way I am able to be more creative and I am not trying to copy the picture. This book is arraigned by how many pictures you want to put on the page. For example, if you want ten pictures on the layout, you go to the ten section and there are 5-8 layouts showing how to put ten pictures on the page. I just wish the scale sheet came with the book instead of me having to make a copy of it.

This is a good book to have around for when you are stalled on ideas for page design. There are lots of choices for single and multi-photo layouts. This is essentially a book of sketches so don't expect any photographs of finished layouts. I like how the page patterns are arranged by number of photos to be included. I would have liked more pages dedicated to single-page layouts, but I guess I'll have to buy one or both of the follow-up volumes for that.

This is a great go-to resource when I'm short on layout creativity. Sometimes I follow the layouts exactly and sometimes they just inspire me and I change them around to suite my needs.You will get ideas for two-page layouts with 2 to 30+ photos on them; and single-page layouts with 1 to 13 photos on them. I also like that each chapters has 6 or 10 blank layout templates so that you can sketch your own designs that you might find elsewhere like online or in magazines. It's a great way to keep all those layout ideas in one place.

Love it, I have all three of these books and love them all. They are adaptable with a little imagination or you can use them as is. There are multiple layouts for the number of photos that you may want to use. All you have to do is choose the paper, the photos, and the accessories you like, the rest is done for you; and the design changes with the photos and papers you choose so you can use them over and over again for a beautiful album.

These are patterns that you can manipulate based on the desired page size. Yet, the actual patterns do not indicate any photo or element dimensions, you are suppose to use the dimension reference page in either the front or back of the book.
