McDavid Hexpad Thudd Short with Hexpad Thigh Pads

I bought these for my son who plays football and he loves them. They are less bulky and fit more comfortably than other football girdles he has used. Provide good protection as well. I did call the company before ordering to confirm waist sizes since the chart didn't include sizes in inches. It's a good thing I did because I would have ordered a small, but after talking to her, ordered a medium.

They are durable...this kid is 16 by just a month...and tips the scale at 240lbs. Over the course of the season these showed no wear and he played a lot. They were washed just about daily and still look new. He's going to get another season out of these provided he doesn't grow out of them!

I wear these under my shorts every time I play basketball and they have saved my quads from opponents' knees many times. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is because they tend to ride down and after about 30 minutes of play I have to constantly pull them up a bit. Overall, great product and I highly recommend to anyone looking for some added protection on the court.

I bought these for my son, for popwarner football, my only complaint and I"m not sure if they could even fix it is they don't have knee pads built in so we do have to move his knee pads from pants to pants. Otherwise they wear well, wash well.

Bought this to wear when I go snowboarding. I recently wanted to starting hitting jumps and go down blue/black runs so I knew I needed the padding for my tailbone. When I am walking around with these things on, they do make me feel stiff in my snowpants, but when I am riding, i forget they are on. While practicing jumps off ramps, I have fallen and these do help soften the landing. Highly recommended if you are looking for hip guards to wear while you ride.

They look a little different from when you buy them but they feel very comfortable and it allows me to move freely. I use these for rugby and they absorb, i recommend them. Ill be buying more in the future.

This compression short gives me a realy good protection during balling and it doesn't reduce mobility.Dri-fit technology provides also excellent comfort. Ballers must have!

I got a pair about 2 years ago and I've been using them since. I took an inadvertent knee to the thighs and thanks to the padding, didn't slow a beat.Knocks and bangs will happen, but with these on, at least you can reduce the impact enough to keep on going.

This product is good while it lasted, but started falling apart over time. This could be due to usual wear and tear.

I use them for basketball.Pros: Keeps covered areas really warm. Good at absorbing impact when hitting floor. Thigh pads are really thick and cushioned. Overall feels comfortable.Cons: Thigh pads are probably too thick for basketball resulting in unnecessary weight (Don't think they are even needed in basketball). Side and butt padding does not absorb all impact and would have been better if they were as thick as the thigh padding. Tightness of shorts limits flexibility a bit. Butt paddshould go higher as it only covers your butt crack and not the tailbone. Too expensive to get multiple, thus needed to wash quite often if you play more than once a week.Overall: I got this mainly to prevent bruises on hips and the hips pads to a decent job at preventing but could be better if thicker and went wider around.

We looked all over Ontario for these -all the name sports stores - with no luck. We needed them for our son who plays CIS basketball. We were pleasantly surprised with the good price AND speedy delivery. This is a great product - worn by most of our son's teammates. It is light - it wicks sweat and at the same time provides good protection. It was so nice to go to AMAZON and not only find this much needed accessory but also to have it delivered quickly.

These fit my son perfectly. He said they were very comfortable.
