Streetwise Brooklyn Map - Laminated City Center Street Map of Brooklyn, New York - Folding pocket size travel map with subway stations Map – May 1, 2009

I didn't realized how small the map is. The messy Brooklyn streets crowded both sides of the map made it very difficult to read the street names. I'm used to the AAA's road maps which are good size and always north oriented. This map has no directional sign and is facing west. Unless you are familiar with the area, it's very difficult to tell which way is which.Not worth the trouble to return it, but I would not recommend people who need help finding their way in Brooklyn buy this map.

A useful and colorful laminated map that folds easily, this is Streetwise Brooklyn. The fact that it's laminated makes it sturdy for multiple uses. And if you are planning to do a tour of Brooklyn's great restaurants, you can spill your pizza sauce on this thing and it won't hurt a bit......yes, I have tested it! Maybe the only drawback is that you must turn the map over to get the other sections of Brooklyn. You kinda lose your place with directions, but this is something you get used to after using the map for a while. A nice resource and worth the price!

I loved Streetwise Manhattan so I bought this. What a disapointment! The main strength of Streetwise is the integration of Streets and Subways. But Streetwise Brooklyn actually leaves off some subway stations! Ever try to mark up a laminated map to add a stop? Doesn't work, and neither does this map. And the north/south split just doesn't work for Brooklyn. Also, the trains to Brooklyn changed when the Manhattan bridge re-opened to subway traffic, so where's a new edition? Do get the Manhattan version, it's complete and works great, but skip Brooklyn.

I was somewhat disappointed with the format of this map in the way it was laid out. Having it laminated is a great idea and I wish the New York City map with the 5 boroughs that I liked best had been laminated.

I bought this map as a gift for a friend traveling to New York. It's sturdy,easy to use, has good detail and is small enough to tote along on a walking tour of the area. I'd recommend it for anyone who likes to sightsee on foot, or by car if you think that's the way to see New York.

This is a great map for traveling around. It fits in my bag. It's water resistant. It's easy to follow.

I had an older version of this map that I used for years when I lived in Brooklyn, but I needed an updated map because some of the subway lines had changed. This is a great map.

I was quite surprised when I received the map of Brooklyn to find it is plastic. it looks very durable and I am looking forward to "Road Testing" it later this year

The guide is waterproof which makes it very handy during rainy weather. The only reason that I gave 4 instead of 5 stars, is that it could have been a bit bigger.
