Excellent quality!!
Exceeded expectations! I have an induction cooktop and have struggled to replace an espresso maker I bought 14 years ago. I purchased a different one and returned it because of an odd smell when opening it.I love Everything about this one; the quality, the coffee it makes and even the look. It was worth paying a little more. I also respect the mission of the company. Could not be happier!

Works great
It had clearly been opened and returned. However, I saw no damage. Actually a great coffee maker and I am keeping it. I can’t imagine why someone would return it. I can see having a smaller one for single servings. It makes a lot of espresso for just one person. I am thinking about ordering the smaller serving version. Very Well made and works great.

Has coating painted on in bottom
I wanted a coffee maker with no coatings or aluminum this one has a coating on the inside of the water boiling area. Makes good coffee tho!

I use it every day, perfect coffee every time
I've been using this coffee maker an average of once a day since I got it in May. It always makes perfect coffee for me! I grind 4 tablespoons of coffee beans per batch with the maximum water level (just barely touching the bottom of the valve in the reservoir, fills 2 large mugs) and the coffee is strong and smooth without off flavors every time. When tightening down the threaded connection, there is no need to over tighten it. If all of the pots are machined the same, I've found that threading it on until it is just a little snug with the handle oriented over the valve (like in the picture) is just right. This is a very efficient way to get the most out of your coffee beans, it takes at least a couple of weeks to get through a typical 12 ounce bag of beans. Cleaning it daily is a little bit of a chore but it's worth it in my opinion. If you're a busy person and don't have time to wait for it to boil and then clean it every day, it would still make a nice treat for slow mornings and your days off work.During the time I've had it, I moved and have used it with 2 different gas ranges. Not all gas ranges are equal, the range I'm using currently finishes making the coffee in about a third of the time of my previous one (less than 5 minutes starting with cold water). I'm not sure how it is on electric but I imagine it would take quite a bit longer. An aluminum pot might be better for an electric stove (since it conducts heat quickly), but if you have plans to ever get an induction stove like I do this steel pot would work while the aluminum pot would be useless!I love this thing! It's well made, so satisfying to use, not that expensive, and I think it's going to last me for years to come.

Terrific espresso!
All the positive reviews convinced me to buy this little guy and I'm so glad I did. Easy to use, fast and tasty espresso in about 5 min on the cooktop. I have an induction stove and it works great. I also realized when we go to airbnbs I can take it along in my essentials box and know I don't have to figure out someone else's coffee pot. I've been using a Keurig coffee maker for years that brews a whole pot from grounds or individual k-cups, but either method always leaves a bitter taste so I relied on creamer to make mask that. The espresso I brew in this Grosche pot reminds me of ordering from a real coffee shop. I steam milk for a latte while the espresso brews on the cooktop and it's all ready in about the same time. I debated buying one of those fancy professional-for-home >$1000 espresso makers but the price, space it requires and cleanup turned me off. This little pot is so easy to clean up and put away! Love it!

Well made -- Tough as nails -- makes great coffee
I bought this stovetop espresso maker 6 years ago and have used it literally every day (including camping) since then. Would 100% buy again and strongly recommend this item to folx who want to avoid exposure to aluminum cookware (e.g., most stovetop espresso pots).

This is ok
I love coffee and have been searching for a stainless steel option to replace my aluminum moka pot. I got the Grosche 10 demi tasse (16.9 fl oz) moka pot. It is stainless steel but it has an odd layer on the inside of the water reservoir. It looks like teflon. I don't know what it is and neither the box or the booklet indicatestge materials used. I was hoping for stainless steel in there to prevent water markings or pitting. Also, the coffee reservoir has an odd elevated base which creates a narrow gorge that cannot be reached to properly clean. I don't understand why it was designed that way. I've never met a moka pot that could not be properly cleaned until now.
