The Story of David Livingstone

This is a good overview of Dr. Livingston's life and mission in Africa. The Kindle version has just a few errors and the pictures are difficult to see but that doesn't take away from the text. The book was written with old descriptions of Africa, so it is hard to follow where Livingstone was going unless you looked very closely at a map. I wish it had shared more about his personal and family life instead of all the geography but it was still interesting.

All I ever knew about David Livingstone was from cartoons. My daughter & I are learning so much about African geography and the culture of the mid-1800s in Africa. Livingstone faced setback after setback and still kept trying. I find this book (still reading) to be a great example of perseverance.

I loved this book because of the message of faith. A must read for school or pleasure. 💙 good job! (I am 13 and read his as part of my homeschool curriculum).

Very interesting and a fun read aloud with my children. It's hard to imagine the courage, tenacity and integrity of Livingstone but a great read!

Easy to read but not as complete as I would have liked. Probably meant as a children's book.

I never knew what a great m an Dr. Livingston really was...I believe he really about what he did...I often wonder if our people have lost their ability.to give a d.....

I had to read this book for school, and i was exited because ive always heard about Livingston and wanted to know more about him. But the book wasnt that good. It really dragged in themiddle chapters, and the author just used the same sentences over and over. The story of Livingston itself is great, i just didnt love this version of it.

What a great explorer and lover of Africa. This book was read aloud with my 11 and 13 year olds. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great book and easy read.
