This works much better than Cupramine
Cupramine is what I first used for treatment of salt water fish. And it sadly is very harsh on every fish it treats. If not being very careful it will kill fish. And even then if you are dealing with flame angelfish or puffers odds are they will not survive it.However this formula of copper treatment is clearly much less harmful on the fish. Does not suppress their appetite to nearly the same degree, can be fully dosed day 1 and is much less likely to kill a fish if the copper level in the water ends up higher than your target. This rather uncommon product should be in every store that sells salt water fish. I could not recommend it highly enough. I think those who are still using Cupramine have never tried this product.Bottom line is buy this or if out of stock buy coppersafe. Do not buy cupramine.

Gentle & Effective!
Pair this with the Hanna HR Copper tester, and you’ve got a winning combo.I have rock and sand in the tank, so there is some absorption. I test and add as necessary. If you search the net for a copper power calculator, it’ll do all the math for you.Got this for quarantining and pretreating new saltwater fish.

This creates a great bacteria colony in my tank to outcompete any bad ...
If you want ultra clean tank with no algae in your reef. Use this. I run a Sps tank. This creates a great bacteria colony in my tank to outcompete any bad bacteria. Even bubble algae, and cyanno went away using this product. MB7 for life

Works Well Not as Harsh
There is another brand I won't mention that I had always used and came across this product on R2R and figured to give it a try. Prior to this product and even with my Hanna checker, I would only get maybe 60-70% of my livestock through copper treatment. I tend to stock my multiple tanks (50G, 75G, 150G, 200G) slow so I can have 2-3 fish in QT at any given time so regularly treating and checking is routine. However, after switching to this product, I have not had a single loss in QT. I have treated wrasses, tangs, file fish, damsels, cardinalfish, mandarins and other gobies without any negative effects. A couple of ich magnets showed typical symptoms, but I believe in a prophylactic approach and slowly increase levels over about a week to which the spots fall off and don't show back up for the full 45 days in QT. Many will do 14 or 30 days, but I always go longer due to not wanting to tear tanks down catching fish to start all over again or going fallow...been there done that. Get this and follow the directions. Be sure to check reef2reef for various tips and tricks on using this.

Great product! Very slow shipping!!!
Amazon needs to speed up shipping on this item. This is a medication!! If someone needs it, the fish would be dead before the produce arrives. Ordered it a week ago, but shows "Shipped" today! Great product and good to have on hand for obvious reasons as mentioned. Would be 5 stars if shipped within 36 hours.

Really effective and fast treatment for ick
I've messed around with the "natural" ick stuff and it was really gross smelling and needed weeks to become what they said as effective, and it did not help much. I had fish die from that stuff. And I couldn't deal with separating my inverts for 8-10 weeks at a time when ich came up. Then I used this stuff and it worked so fast! Like other comments said, fish on the death bed can be instantly resurrected by this stuff! But again I did not like to have two tanks set up in my house for weeks while this stuff goes long enough to feel safe enough to put all the fish back in non-copper water. So enough was enough, I brought all my inverts back to the fish store for them to sell again, and made my tank a fish only, always copper tank. I got a 45 gal cube tank and keeping the copper at the right level is now part of my maintenance for my tank. Its great to not have to worry about ick, or to have to hurry and get a medicine tank going and cycled for moving fish to it. I've had my tank for a long time, but I have had it always copper for about a year and a half, and I only have to add a little bit of this every 5-6 days for maintenance. I highly recommend using this for your salt water tank for ich, I however cannot attest to the use of this with inverts, like some other people's reviews, as I have never used it with any.

The Only Copper You Should Use - Superior to Cupramine & Copper Safe
There are two main coppers available for usage in aquariums - Ionic & Chealted Copper. Ionic copper is what you find with Seachem Cupramine. It has a lower therapeutic range and is harder on fish.Chealted Copper has a larger effective range and safer to use on more sensitive fish like saltwater wrasses. After dealing with Fritz's unreliable Copper Safe medication, I switched over to Copper Power. Fritz's Copper Safe has an unreliable consistently with their copper so you don't know how potent the medication is until you start dosing and testing it. It lead to me overdosing my tank.Copper Power has the most consistent concentration of all the Chealted copper products on the market. I've never had issues ramping up the concentration or maintaining therapeutic ranges. It's regularly NOT available in stores and I'm not sure why. It is far superior to Seachem Cupramine and easier to use. I would highly recommend that you purchase a reliable test kit like a Hanna Checker Copper Test kit. Please note: The instructions on the bottle are incorrect. Effective range of Chealted copper is 1.5 - 2.0 PPM. 2.5 PPM would put you in an overdose situation. Always make sure you ramp up with Copper Power and use a quarantine tank as Copper is not safe for inverts.
