Cygolite Hypershot 350 & 250 Lumen Bicycle Taillight- 2 is better than one!
One thing you need to know, is that this tail light is, in a word, bright! Has a generous number of modes, adjustable brightness and reasonable battery life depending on how you adjust it (the product insert is pretty much right on and the battery performs well over time). Useful certainly at night, but also provides great visibility during the day on those narrow single lane roads where cars go way too fast. With this light, they must see me because they noticeably slow down (I know, don't you wish they'd slow down more often!). Paired with a Cygolite front light in blinking mode, daytime visibility is guaranteed. I've used other brands, but have now transitioned all our bikes to Cygolite. After nearly a year on the road this light is really holding up!

Cygolite Hypershot – 350 Lumen Bike Tail Light
I don't bike much but realize it's important to be seen both day and night. I have witnessed people on bikes without lights or lights that were so dim during the day that i thought why bother; one I believe was even a "brake light" type of rear light that barely got brighter when stopping - this is not dim. I haven't used it on the bike yet but indoors this light is bright; it projected light at least 25 feet with a large spot of red light on the wall. It can change speed of the flashes in flash modes and the light brightness for the steady on & buzz mode; I'm thinking that even at the lowest light brightness if another biker is behind you it'll be too bright because of the way it projects the light.. I bought it for the daytime flash mode, the ability to change the brightness and flash speeds. It has a clip to put it on a bike bag that's mounted behind or under the seat (have to hold keys somewhere! :-) ). It came almost fully charged but I did have to top it off but it was a quick top off. It seems to be a well built product and hopefully it'll last a while. I know there are higher lumen taillights than this one but if this projects as well outside in day light as it did in the house it''ll be a great taillight.

Really Bright Bike Light!
Very bright bike light! Perfect for city riding to make sure cars see you! Easy to mount on any bike. Charges quickly. Easy to turn on and off and easy to adjust settings. Buttons are easy to actuate when riding. Very functional! I will be purchasing for Christmas gifts for my friends.

Perfect and bright.
It is the brightest one that I could find. It is easy to adjust the light brightness and to change modes. The highest brightness may be too bright for nighttime use. But, it is excellent for daytime use. Which, is what I got it for. It seems secure. But, I feel like it needs a lanyard. I will eventually add one, in the best way that I can. It's too nice of a light to not have it on a lanyard. Just in case. / It was too low to connect it to the seat post on my bicycle. The back tire was higher than it. So, I purchased the under-seat attachment. But, it was barley high enough. I'd like more mounting options. Like, 90 degrees.

One of the brightest tail lights made!
I owned a Cygolite Hotshot 100 for years and a competitors tail light before this. I keep coming back to Cygolite for a reason. Durability and features that are really used (some newer tail lights even adapt to braking which I find to be a gimmick), not features of limited to no use at all. For the reason of price alone, I chose the 250 lumen version of this light. The Hotshot 100 I had was very visible. It just took forever to charge. This light came with just above 50% charge and took less than an hour and a half to charge fully. We'll see if the claims of 3 hour charge time holds factual once i drain the battery to charging level again. Just two gripes about this light and Cygolite should be ashamed of itself. The seatpost clamp does NOT fit a 31.6 mm seatpost. They seem to be holding onto the smaller standard for seatposts. Thankfully, they've now made the standard for tail light mounts and I was able to use the old tail light mount to mount it to the seatpost until I get the T-mount I ordered specifically for my rack in and mounted. The second gripe is common to most bicycle tail lights. However, Cygolite still hasn't addressed their largest complaint. The charging port cover will not last more than a year at best even with the newer cover that I noticed. One of their competitors makes a better port cover, but not much better. Eventually, I'll have to replace it with duct tape to prevent moisture from entering at this point which is what killed the last Cygolite I owned. All said, I still recommend the Cygolite's. Headlamp or tail light. Their products will last even if you dump the bicycle while riding on wet or uneven surfaces. They are well worth their price. I only docked one star for the minimal gripes I had.

Very bright light for daylight riding one of the best I've used in a long time.

Best rear daytime light you can buy In 2025….Cars now have entertainment screens 15 inches across. This kind of distraction raises the bar to be struck by a distracted driver…. This ultra bright tail light gets you noticed. Don’t cheap skate yourself on safety. Dependability……My oldest 350 is almost 4 years old. That 4 years equated to 200/300 kilometres per week of road time. My 4 year old light is now holding a charge for 90mins. The pouch battery inside is replaceable. You will require soldering tools and the skill to use them. I however have bought new lights for the longer rides. Riding tip. In the winter I did wrap the light in cling wrap then slide it in the mount. 4 years and still working speaks for itself. One last tip…. If you purchase the under saddle mount use a removable thread locker. Even hot glue is better than nothing. I luckily doubled back and found my light. Cheers

What I’ve received is different from what’s included. Missing 2 screws and the light holder on the Seat Stay Mount.

This light is by far the best light I’ve had for my bicycle. It’s really bright and is always seen. I have been using for about eight months now no no issues. Battery life is usually good for 150 km ride and blinking mode.

2 reasons why this is extremely bright. A is that it has a concentrated hotspot, ie very high lux (not talking about lumens). This is the value that you get on lux meters, the amount of light that you get at a certain spot some distance away. B is that it uses an orangey red emitter, easily 5-10 nm wavelength lower than other red LEDs. So your eye perceives it as brighter (brightest is at 555nm / green colour), more efficient use of power etc. I use 2 of these 350s as the hotspot is elliptical in shape and horizontally is 10 deg spread and vertically is 5 deg spread. So 2 of these gives me a 20 degrees horizontal coverage. I also use 2pcs of Magicshine Seemee 300 for even wider coverage esp with its additional Optic-trace LED firing sideways as i mount those horizontally on the back of my saddle (on a horizontal bar facing the rear). Need to fine tune a bit the vertical angle, the jagged teeth of the vertical angle adjustment is pretty "rough" and ends up either aiming the light too upwards or too downwards, esp for 1 of my light. I end up sticking some pcs of foam tape in between the clip on the light to serve as spacers so that the angle can be further fine tune. Very good light, you will be seen during day time. Use the STEADY mode for night time use, the intensity can be fine-tuned to a pretty low level. I think the run time for STEADY mode @ 350 lumens thereabouts (yes, full intensity) is 2hrs. This is one of the rare lights that you can run at max power in steady mode and still not overheat. AND also it can accept being plugged to a power bank and the light still stays lit, thereby prolonging the runtime a lot and limited by your powerbank only.
