There's no need for added preservatives, chemicals or an abundance of added sodium. The result is a meal made from clean ingredients (that you can actually pronounce) that has the taste and texture of homemade, to be enjoyed wherever your adventures may take you.GET CREATIVE While Good To-Go meals are DELICIOUS on their own, they're also great paired with other ingredients. Whether you're at camp cooking for a group, or just looking to include some fresh ingredients or added protein, consider using our meals as a base and experimenting with your recipes! It could be as simple as rolling it up in a tortilla, or as elaborate as a sit-down meal complete with a beer or wine pairing. REAL FOOD. REAL ADVENTURE.

A+ brand, B+ flavor
This brand is absolutely great, a few really fantastic dishes, but Pad Thai fell a little short for me.Good:- Includes peanuts in a separate package- Not salty or over-seasoned- Tasty if you’re craving something a little sweet- Surprisingly fillingDisappointment:- The wild shrimp was not as pronounced as I had hoped- For me, it was a little too carroty sweet- Between the TVP and egg, it also tasted very eggy- I likely needed to let it sit longer than usual as the noodles weren’t as soft as expectedI had planned the double serving on a long day, as I assumed I would be extra hungry. I ate my fill and it was probably less than half, so that was nice and I've since found the single portions more than adequate. I saved the leftovers but they were not super to eat cold in the morning. I think where it failed for me was the texture and the fact that I was craving something more savory than sweet. Texture could probably be improved by longer rehydration shielded from the cold. This doesn't taste like restaurant-quality pad thai, but I could see it being satisfying after a week or two without veggies. I might have liked it more had I added some peanut butter, packet or powder. For me, I’d prefer the Thai Curry if I was in the mood for something Thai. My hands down favorites by Good to Go are the Herbed Mushroom Risotto, Bibimbap and Indian Korma.

Excellent tasting dinner
Bought this for backpacking trip with son. Needed to go as light as possible.Excellent tasting dinner, especially after day of hiking. We found the two serving portion was just a bit light for us and combined with a one-serving portion, and split them equally between us.Good amount of spice, although we brought along some sriracha because we really like spicy food.Don't be fooled by the looks of the stuff before re hydrating as it looks gross and not very promising.Re-hydrate in bag. Takes awhile. Good to wrap bag with towel or something the keep warm if cold outside. The bags themselves are tough, none busted open during the hike.Only downside may be value, they are expensive. But then, compared to a night out, maybe not so much.

Not really pad thai.
It isn't bad, but it isn't pad thai. Too much pepper, way too many julienne carrots, and instead of long wide you get short pieces similar to spaghetti. Not bad, but my Thai friends would laugh hysterically if I tried to pass that off. Like calling White Castle sliders "a beef steak". The cooking instructions are accurate though. Add boiling water, ziplock the bag closed, and you've got a generously portioned dinner.

Contains shrimp.
Buying online, it would be really helpful if it was really obvious that this is an item that contains shrimp, a common allergen. Maybe call it "Pad Thai with Shrimp" - I didn't see the small print that this was pescararian and was surprised when I found shrimp in this while backpacking. It's on me for not checking the label more carefully but still- maybe move that bit of info up on the listings?

Too much seasoning that doesn't dissolve or mix in.
It is similar to cup o'noodles, but in a flat container. There was way too much seasoning for the amount of noodles and I almost never complain about too much seasoning. I kept stirring and stirring and it never mixed in well, so I got a chunk of seasoning with the noodles. Adding more water was not the solution as there wasn't room to do that either. It did not sit really well on my stomach either, so if you can't eat mountain house or MRE's due to intestinal unhappiness, this is probably not right for you either. I wanted to like it, but it did not work out.

Fair - nice variety for a dehydrated meal
Nice texture and crunch from the peanuts. Strong flavors are tasty. Noodles are short and not anything like Asian noodles. Relatively speaking this pad thai is a nice change from the dehydrated beef stroganoff or dehydrated lasagna. I could see this hitting the spot on a cold damp hike, but honestly $10 will also buy you a lot of Topp Ramen and freeze dried edamame. I am glad I tried it, but won't be buying it again.

Yum
Product arrived on time, as described and in new condition. Prepared and consumed on the side of Mt. Fuji! I requested some hot water from on of the stations and was tasty. A bit aromatic and spicy but in a good way! GF too

Better than most takeout!
We tested many of the dehydrated, just add water, trail meals getting ready for a 14 road trip and rim to rim backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon... I also have celiacs so finding good backpacking food is not easy. The Good to Go brand is AMAZING. Seriously, this is better than some takeout food. We had three different ones with us and will now be the only food we take (when not cooking for ourselves) on all our back country trips!
