Fantastic broad band antenna: Covers Amateur 2m/70cm, Marine VHF, MURS, GMRS
I bought this antenna primarily to use on my boat where I wanted to shared an antenna feed with both a GMRS radio, and a Marine VHF radio using a frequency-split diplexer. In that application it works great. Signal strength is very good, SWR at those frequencies is very good (<1.3:1) and installation was exactly how I expected. But then I discovered that this is also just a great all around antenna for 2m, 70cm, MURS, GMRS, Marine VHF, and in scanning (receive only) applications from 25MHz to 1.3GHz. I have one hooked up to my RTL-SDR, for example, so I can scan any service within its bandwidth range. The fold-down is rather stiff. I don't use this in offroad conditions currently, so I don't need a spring. But a spring kit is available if you need it to be better protected offroad. It's a rather long antenna due to its compatibility with 2m VHF. But it's a good all around antenna, very effective at the ranges I've tested. Recently I used it to hit a GMRS repeater 64 miles away with a 4w handheld.

Excellent antenna!
I use this on my Anytone 578UViii Plus mobile in my truck with a midland mag mount. Works on 2M, 1.25M, 70cm, MURS, GMRS, and DMR. All SWR readings are low to mid 1's except GMRS coming in at 1.98 which is still acceptable for my setup. Range is excellent. TX and RX has increased significantly for both Amateur and GMRS. Don't hesitate to order this.

Best Antenna
The best I’ve used for 2M, 70cm. The gain over the cheap magnetic antennas I’ve tried is like night and day. Very clear. Would highly recommend.

Great Antenna (Low SWR)
This antenna unlike another oneni bought before this one works GREAT!! Very low SWR out of the box, unlike the HH9900 I bought that was showing an SWR of 6 or higher. Will buy another one of these.

I get consistently good signal reports as well has very good receive capabilities
I've had this on my car roof full time since July 2016 paired with a Diamond NMO magnet mount. It still has low SWR, and no rust. I get consistently good signal reports as well has very good receive capabilities! I use this mobile, with a Yaesu FT-2900R.It has even survived a bird flying into it while I was driving 60MPH down the highway. I performed a close inspection, and there were miraculously no bends in any of the elements. Granted, had it not been for the mag mount giving way and toppling over, the bird more than likely would have snapped it in half. It still showed very low SWR, and I still got good signal reports from local stations. So I guess we can add extreme durability to it's list of features! This antenna does what it's supposed to do quite well, with the added ability to take a direct hit from an avian at high speed. Highly recommended, A+.

Not perfect but really good antenna for dual band straight out the box.
I use this antenna due vhf and uhf. It makes a huge difference between my hand held on transmit or recieve...My neighbor have a vhf hand held and a mile away from me in mountaines and wooded terrain. On simplex we can barely talk to each other. With this antenna it sounds like we are next door neighbors in a cookie cutter community.I week be testing the swr she thing later. There is a Repeater about 60 miles away from house that I can hear action on but to far away to open the Repeater up. If I can open this Repeater up with my hand held or mobile rig I report back on my findings. So far it's good but I will be doing swr checking when my new jumper cable comes in.

Multi-band / wide banded antenna
I have purchased a couple of these antennas and may have another one in my future. It works very well as a dual band (ham) antenna for 2m and 70cm. It also is great for GMRS which is slightly higher than 70cm.We purchased one for an EMCOMM box radio for our local ARES group.
