Great product. Exactly as described. Easy installation. Measure your space carefully. Don’t forget to include baseboards or other trim that might make your measurements narrower on the bottom. Read the directions. Take your time. Alternate turning extension bolts to keep everything even, like tightening wheel lug nuts.Nice looking. Very effective. Sturdy. Secure for babies and fur babies. Has a sliding latch on top and you have to pull the gate up to release the lower latch. Auto closes when opened < 90 degrees. Stays open when opened to 90 degrees.Would absolutely recommend and buy again. Not a paid review 💯

I was hesitant to buy a gate because I was concerned about it fitting well where I need it. I have baseboards so I wasn't sure if it would install correctly because of the differences in length between the baseboards at the bottom and the wall at the top. It did. It's very snug and sturdy.The gate looks really nice too. Much better than those plastic ones.One thing to consider. This gate is designed to be at least semi-permanent. You can move it if you need to but it's not one to put up and take down daily. If that's what you need I'd look for a different model.Operation is a simple and one-handed.Installation was a breeze. Just measure, choose if you need to use 1 or both inserts (or none) and the rest is common sense. I did not choose to do the more permanent method of Installation (drilling holes to set the gate in the wall) but that seemed pretty straightforward too.I'm happy with the purchase. It fits my needs.

I purchased two of these gates, and for hallways or flat surfaces, this is a great gate. However, be aware that when using to block off the bottom of a stair case that the pedestal/transition piece of the gate takes up in excess of 1” rise with the ramping transition taking up the majority of your stair tread. Say what you want about US building codes (or any region using IBC), but the riser uniformity guidelines are practical (to not be more than 3/8 inch greater than the smallest riser). That is, if you put this on the first step where typical newel posts are present to secure the gate, you have a very uneven step to walk up. Sure this isn’t about stair building code, but practically speaking you have a step that is about 1” off from the adjacent step and a metal and hard sloped plastic surface you don’t want to step directly on without shoes. It is very uncomfortable with socks on. The product images include the use of this on the first step of a staircase, but I promise you this will be a very frustrating trip hazard for any applications on a stair. I’m over 6’ and I’m fine skipping a step over the gate transition but my 5’3” wife and 2 year old weren’t blessed with the same stride.That said, I’m very happy with the construction and practicality of the gate. This blocks off hallway areas I want to keep my kid and dogs way from. Just be cautious with stair applications on a standard riser and tread found in most homes. Amazon gave me a no fuss refund so kudos to them on the customer service.

Exactly what I was looking for! Easy to assemble based on the measured space. Very sturdy, even with our baseboards. Love that send extra pieces to make it work with various spaces and needs. The YouTube video was helpful. Love the automatic close and leave open option for after the baby goes to sleep. 10/10

Game over! I finally found a baby/pet gate that meets all my specifications. My sister and I installed this in less than 15 minutes using the pressure mounted install. The instructions include written and illustrated steps. There is hardware for mounting permanently as well as for mounting at top or bottom of the stairs. I appreciate the base piece that protects my hardware floor as well as provides additional stability for the gate. The gate is easy to open and swings in either direction as well as stays open if desired. I used to have a gate that automatically swung shut and latched, making carrying a basket of laundry through the gate an olympic challenge. Highly recommend this gate!

This is a great product. Used for our mini schnauzer at our office. Keeps her in my office but she can still see everyone else as they move about the office. Works great and easy to install.
