Good strong sturdy expel air.
Plug and play. Easy to setup in the loft for ventilation. Very quiet. Good air flow. Great price for a well built sturdy expel air. Thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic Fan
This fan is perfect for ventilation. I have a server and some network kit at home; which builds up quite a bit of heat. I was cooling the room before with a portable AC unit, with a hose going outside... but this was becoming costly to run. As it's winter and pretty cold outside, I thought I'd get this fan and try to use it to pull the cold air from outside, into the room using the hose from my AC unit. I'm glad to say that this worked incredibly well and I honestly don't see much of a difference in temperature when using either the AC or this fan. The room actually ended up becoming too cold with this fan, that I needed to purchase a plug-in thermostat, so that I could have the fan automatically turn off when the room reached a set temperature. Without the thermostat, my room was going down to 15°C easily just with this fan!

Fantastic ( no pun ) value for the money
I actually used as a extraction system for my laser engraver, and it does an amazing job

Quiet and efficient
Easy to install. No motor noise, but, of course, the fan does draw in air through a longish duct so it is not soundless. Can't comment on any timer function as it is not in use.

Great for 6 months
I bought this to extract air from my fish shed (shed with 20 aquariums). It worked so well for months, up until it started making high pitched screeching noises and eventually stopped working completely. I proceeded to clean it and added some lubricant to the impeller shaft area. It started working again and It quietened down for a few days, but then the noise came back and it died again. It was a great piece of equipment for a few months...until it became a fire hazard.

Great fan, It was wired to the slow speed by default though.
The media could not be loaded. I always buy Fantronix fans as their quality and performance is much better than other brands. This unit with a pre wired mains flex however was wired to the low speed winding instead of the high speed winding internally (This may be good for some but isn't great if you want its real performance), also no ferrules were used, just bare stranded wire into the terminal blocks which is in breach of CE and UKCA certification. It was easy enough to crimp some ferrules onto the live and neutral wires under the cover, White is Neutral, black(HighSpeed on my unit) or red(LowSpeed on my unit) are the 2 speed windings, connect live to just one of these to select the speed you wish to use.A leading edge dimmer / speed controller can be used to vary the speed of the fan (external ones are available with a plug socket on), I modified my unit by using a BG Electrical DM400AP Leading edge dimmer and drilled a hole in the side of the case so I could switch between the low speed and high speed windings and also vary the speed of the fan too (see the attached image).I have included a video to demonstrate the massive amount of airflow this unit can provide in the high speed setting.
