Know your transmission pan depth before ordering
It should be pointed out in the description that this particular filter is for the SHALLOW Allison transmission pan. My vehicle: 2013 Chevy 3500 HD "Duelly" 4X4 with 6.6 Duramax. The filter for the deep pan will not fit and will crush if you try to make it work. Know your pan depth before ordering - Conversely, if you try to use this "shallow" filter in a deep pan, it could cause pickup issues with a low oil situation, or worse . . . The filter is held in the intake port by resting on the bottom of the pan - without this security (as in the case of a shallow filter/ deep pan), it could theoretically fall out while in use - Yikes!!!
