Criminal Justice Today: An Introductory Text for the 21st Century 12th Edition

The book arrived in ok condition, not damaged but I don't expect pristine condition when buying used. The problem is the seller 'overstockbook'. They sent me the instructor's edition instead of the student one, but I didn't think to double check the isbn number as there was nothing stating this on the book cover (the number on the back had a sticker from that seller over it anyway). There should have been a label on the front of the book but somehow there wasn't one there (it had been removed). So when I tried to start a trade in through amazon it was rejected because the isbn number did not match what I purchased. Since this was just past the return policy date I am unable to get it exchanged or anything. The seller never responded to me directly, even after sending them multiple messages explaining the issue. Amazon also wouldn't help is any way shape or form.So buyer beware, double check the isbn number on your book, especially if you intend to resell it or trade it in.

this book was amazing for what i used it for. it gives a broad general overview of the entire criminal justice system. it has tons of pictures and charts. which helps with the learning of the material covered inside. i used this book in college for in introductory course to the Criminal Justice program and I could not think of a better book than this one for that type of course. whether you are taking that program or just want to understand the basics of the criminal justice system i would recommend this book to you

As far as textbooks go, this one is odd. It's formatted in such a way that the pictures almost take precedent over the text. Don't get me wrong, some of the info graphics in this book are awesome, but what the crap is this one column that's about three words wide doing in a text book? Also, "Good" quality apparently means "Not completely written in and not ALL of the pages are noticeably warped"

This was a great text for my CRM 301 class, nice, fresh, and new and we actually used it! Got to me right on time and I was able to bring it to class :)

This product is great because it has very current events in it. At some points it runs-on a bit but for the most part it is a good textbook. I also like that it contains a lot of new vocabulary with easy to understand definitions.

"Criminal Justice Today" is a well written book. It is easy to read and understand. My biggest complaint is that much of the 'additions' such as online links, etc. are about following the author's twitter feed. This is not in anyway beneficial to those who do not have a twitter account and I felt that I was short changed in getting updates, etc.

I needed it for class. It is filled with a lot of good references if you are writing a paper on criminalogy or taking the class.

I got my book very fast but it is a new book and there is minor damage on the spine of the book at the top and it is a new book.
