Essentials of Pathophysiology: Concepts of Altered Health States

Pretty decent at explaining things into detail.I never needed it during nursing school (BSN), 600 slides of power points during class every 2 weeks was enough knowledge for me.It doesn't talk about everythin you need to know. It doesn't cover every diagnosis, it doesn't meddle much into the mental health so you wont find much on things like anxiety, but you will find plenty of physical problems. A lot of very uncommon physical health issues will be in this book as well as some of the more common ones like diabetes and heart disease

I like that this book gets as deep as you want to dive into patho, but sometimes you just want a brief summation of the pathophysiology of a disease. Overall, I like the book despite its length and will continue to use it well after my class is over.

I rented this book because I did not want to pay $200 to buy it from our school. I was tight on money so I turned to the amazing Amazon.com. They had the book for $45 bucks to rent, I got it the following day. It is in decent condition, but there are some markings throughout the book. Expected it since it is a rented book. However, the book has been amazing help so far in class and if you wanted to brush up or just learn things on your own I would recommend this book. It is meant more for class, but I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it if I would have bought it.

I tutor for Pathophysiology and I highly recommend this book! Very helpful in understanding patho! Also, it comes with a CD that has practice questions that are very useful and I found students who do the practice questions in the CD typically do better on the exams.

Book was in great shape to have been used. Minor highlighting and wear, but great overall. It was one year older than the book I was supposed to buy for the course but there were only minor changes, so still totally usable!

This book to longer to receive than I expected. The book was in good condition and did come with the CD. However, the packaging was not sturdy enough for such a large book and there was a rip in the package, exposing the book. This would not have mattered to me, but the book had been transported through several sever rain storms... and it was evident.

Great book with pretty easy to read/understand descriptions of pathophysiologic functions. If you rent it though, be prepared to not get the cdrom that comes with it. It has great questions for review for each chapter on it.

kindle version. searchable, keep it for ever.would have liked the next edition, but it was not yet released on kindle. I love searchable documents
