MiLocks DF-02AQ Electronic Keyless Entry Touchpad Deadbolt Door Lock, Antique Brass

By reading and following the instructions, I got this combination door lock installed quickly, replacing a traditional lock. Programming it wasn't difficult, either. I thought the bolt assembly seemed a bit hard to engage by hand on the inside of the door and with the key on the outside. But, sure enough, when I first used the combination I had created, the lock worked smoothly, both unlocking and locking the door.For the price, it appears to work very well.

First, this is my 3rd lock for them and I purchased the antique brass and found Milocks by accident as the other companies did not make the antique brass lock I was looking for. Very simple to install and works well in every case I installed this lock. I am blown away by the level of support and their standing behind their warranty. I bought a returned one from Amazon and Amazon did a poor job of checking the product before putting it back out for sale. I had an issue and MiLock stood behind their product and sent me what I needed with no questions and without grilling me with a thousand questions. They shipped what I needed so fast it arrived before I even expected it. Rarely do you find a company on Amazon that takes care of there customers but MiLock is one of those rare companies

I am very disappointed and unhappy with this product. I purchased it because I wanted a coded lock for my front door and it took me a while to get someone to come to install it, which by that point the Amazon return window was closed. Once it was installed, I had trouble programming it, and then when I did get it programmed, the lock would only engage manually, but not with the code, if the door was closed, which defeats the purpose of the lock, When the code finally worked, the unlock button locked it and the lock button unlocked it. So basically this is no different than a regular deadbolt as the code system doesn’t work at all. I have contacted them by phone and email and gotten NO response. Please do not buy this item! 1 star as a regular deadbolt

I would have given it 5 stars if it didn't have a plastic inside cover. I had an old night lock on my condo door with a 1.125 key hole which had to be expanded to 2.125. This was the most time consuming part of the installation process for me, as I had to find a wood dowel 1.125 or slightly larger to fill the original hole so my Irwin lock installation kit had a center hole on both sides. To complicate matters I did not have access to a drill press to assure dead center on both sides. The 1 inch hole for the deadbolt came out fine and with a bit of chiseling and filing on the door frame it closed securely the first time after programming an eight digit code. All programming is accessed from inside with no bluetooth, wifi, or phone app needed which I feel is a plus as far as security is concerned. The price is definitely a plus compared to the high priced "Smart Locks."

We live in a fairly harsh weather environment here in Maine. One of these locks also takes a beating by facing south into the sun pretty much year round. Nevertheless the front-door lock looks and works great. They seem to have achieved a very smooth internal mechanism that easily locks and unlocks without grinding or binding at all. If you already have removed a deadbolt, installation is easy, but if you are adding this lock you will need the same standard tools to drill the door out and chisel the jamb and door edge. Complete hardware and templates are in the box. I like these a lot, the light is bright for night use and they lock with one push of a button. The keys (two come with each lock) can be duplicated by a hardware store to give you extras. As with all key pads you need to still carry a key in case the batteries fail. I fully recommend these locks for both appearance and functionality.

Doesn’t last!Broken after only 5 months.

I bought the silver one back in 2018 in the past two months I have replaced them both do not work. One set was sent with no keys and I given a very hard time. I’m trying to replace it. Finally, Amazon did guess what second one they’re both in the bronze color how it reinstalled which does cost me money to hire somebody as I’m not capable of doing it less than two weeks locked out of the house once again being 69 years old it’s very difficult living in the rule area to find anybody that is able to help, but Amazon should stand behind their products. I love the first one lasted seven years no complaints, but the bronze color one forget it major problems.

The lock was easy to install, but the keyless entry (keypad) mechanism did not work. I have another keyless door knob from MiLocks that works well so sent an email to the company explaining the problem. Did not get a response, but 3 days later received a replacement for the inside lock (the part that holds the batteries). Installed it and the it works great. Overall, very easy to install, easy to operate, feels heavy duty, works as advertised, and excellent customer service although the communication could be better. As mentioned, this is my second MiLocks keyless entry and we're happy with the price and quality of the product. This deadbolt door lock was used to replace a top rated keyless Schlage deadbolt that we could never get to work despite costing much more.
