Easy To Read: North Dakota, South Dakota Map – Folded Map, December 9, 2011

The map helped get us where we needed to go, which was to Custer State Park. We went there for technical rock climbing which was AMAZING. We also camped while we were there, and my suggestion is to reserve a space months ahead of time or you'll end up farther away from your destination than you want to be. That said, EVERYWHERE in the vicinity of Custer State Park is gorgeous, so you'll be fine. This is land where the buffalo still roam, literally. Buffalo are everywhere, as are deer, coyotes, and all manner of wildlife. If Mt. Rushmore calls to you, it's there for a small fee, but the scenery in the park is much grander and will fill you with a great appreciation for nature and how lucky we are to live in a country that allows us to vacation in places like this.

Map is very nice, sturdy, easy to use.

I bought this for a motorcycle trip to the Black Hills. No GPS on my bike so I got a map for every state I had to pass through. It did it's job and helped me get there and back.One additional comment: Call me old school but I love a good map. My car GPS makes me dumber every time I use it. I find myself blindly following it's directions only to find that I could have saved time and gas by planing the route myself. I also seem to remember the directions better when I plot it out on an "old-fashioned" map.

This helped so much while road tripping through parts of South Dakota where I had zero service to use GPS in the middle of nowhere. I could’ve gotten so lost.

I like the detail

This old fashioned but fully up to date map is easy to read, and gives a good bird's eye view of everything. You can take it into your motel room and study it. I just don't need anything more than that to get me around.

We bought this along with the McNally Montana Wyoming State map and it looks as though they will be useful to back up our sat nav and negotiate our journey from this area to Yellowstone National Park. There weren’t many to choose from though. We could have bought just one of these maps as the area we will be travelling through overlaps both maps, but this is not very clear from the description. Having now also bought Moon’s Mount Rushmore and Black Hills guide book, we can see that some not-so-small towns have been missed off the map, one place in particular we would have liked to use as a stopover. The map is made from quite thin paper, so have covered it with clear stickyback paper so it won’t get torn!

Easy to read map with details of points of interest

Actually a little disappointed with this map as I would have preferred bigger makes of towns/cities. Reasonably priced though and compact.

You get use dto eth basic aspects of the US maps, over UK one's, they work
