>Book Review – Cinder>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 1st in the Lunar Chronicles series and ends in a cliffhanger. The setting of this book is post-apocalyptic. The earth is governed by 5 kingdoms and alien kingdoms exist, as well. Cinder does not remember anything before she was 11. An accident kills her parents and causes her to need extensive robotic surgery to survive. She is now known as a cyborg, which is the lowest life form. Cyborgs are treated as less than human. Cinder’s past is not as it seems, though. This story is a loose re-telling of Cinderella, complete with an evil stepmother and mean step-sister.>The humans on Earth are suffering from a killer virus brought to Earth from the Lunar people. The Lunar queen rules with an iron fist, using glamor to manipulate her subjects. She takes away their free will and is a ruthless person. Prince Kai is a wonderful character. He is a caring, understanding and humble emperor. A missing Princess could threaten the Lunar queen’s right to her throne and Kai is looking for the Princess.>Kai meets Cinder and they really hit it off. Cinder’s step-mother does all she can to humiliate and destroy Cinder. There is a ball and danger to Kai, due to the Lunar queen. She wants to marry Kai, take over his kingdom and kill him. Cinder wants to save Kai. I love the descriptions of the robotics.>This book is appropriate for a young adult (16+) audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. I really feel for Cinder and all she has to deal with. I hope Kai is able to look past everything.

If you read a lot just skip this but if you barley read it’s a good book. It’s good for someone who’s trying to read more or get into reading, kind of like twilight.....

Loved this fairy tale remake! Fantastic characters and story line. With the technology advancements we are experiencing, this is a very believable story. Cyborgs and humans. Sicknesses.... Very relatable with the Covid 19 pandemic of 2020. I highly recommended it! Happy Reading!

This book is great. A different rendition of Cinderella. Where she ends up being a princess from the moon. Fast and easy read. Great characters And easy to follow.
