Great value
I bought 2 sets of these to use has intercoms around the house. I hate having to scream for the kids. So I drop one of these in every room of the house and I call for them through the walkie talkies. Here are some pros and cons.PROS:- very inexpensive full featured walkie talkies- has your standard channels and privacy codes- easy to push buttons (some walkie talkies need a lot finger pushing force) so these are great for kids- uses standard rechargeable AA batteries- you can keep these plugged into a micro USB 5V source and leave them turned on 24/7. (This was a big deal for me since I wanted to use these as home intercoms.)CONS:- It does tend to pick up interference pretty easily so at my home I do hear some slight buzzing in the background. But it doesn't interfere with speech and I'm able to easily understand the other person.- The volume range doesn't seem very wide. The speaker volume is neither too loud or too soft in general, but even if you play with the volume, it doesn't seem to make very big difference.UNKNOWNS:- Range. I don't know how far these travel. Generally speaking, FRS/GMRS walkie talkies don't have very good usable range (even if the manufacturer claims miles and miles of range). That's because the frequencies are easily blocked by everything -- walls, trees, buildings. You need absolute line of site to get the maximum range, which is pretty difficult- Durability. These are advertised for kids so. So far they work out great in my home but I'm for sure not going to use them in critical situations.- VOX. I haven't tested this.- Headset. It doesn't come with headsets but has a port of a headset which I have not tested.TIPS:- Always hold down the talk button for 1 second before you speak. This will allow time for the receiving walkie talkies to detect your transmission, and that way the start of your sentence doesn't get chopped off.- Leave the "ROG" feature on. This enables the beep when you release the talk button and that tells the other person you're done talking. Then the other person can respond. Remember walkie talkies are simplex (not duplex) so you can't talk and listen simultaneously.- Keep the walkie talkies far enough away from each other so you can't hear each other when speaking. Walkie talkie microphones are sensitive and keeping them too close to each other will easily cause feedback which sounds like high pitched whistling or interference noises when you're trying to talk.

Better than expected quality !!
Just buy them they won’t disappoint ! They are great quality don’t feel cheap, have that weighted feels once the batteries are in. I tried going a mile in the car and it works. My husband thinks maybe if you adjust the channel you could get more range. There are so many tho I just keep it on 3.01 . I use the VOX baby monitor and it is great . Its almost like it has noise canceling for ambient noise like tv and fan blowing I only hear my baby when he cries out loud enough. I put it pretty close. I still periodically check on him for visual tho . Can’t completely trust anything. But it works great. I can have mine on and his on VOX and he doesn’t have to hear me. I turned off all key pressing sounds and the roger noise . It annoys me. Volume goes up to 8 can’t be silenced to 0 but that okay. The battery last great but honestly I’m not the best judge as I turn it off once I enter the room . First charge lasted about 1 week turning on and off. VOX I’m pretty sure uses more battery. What’s great is the cable comes with 3 android connectors. So you can charge 3 at a time which I liked. Charges great and fast. The NOAA is possible to turn on by holding down the scan button. Fairly easy to use I figured it out before I read the instructions just fiddling around with them. So not complicated .What’s great is that you can lock the keys !!!! Great so toddlers or husbands don’t complain about it changing. I do not use the lanyards for safety reason with my kid but 4 came in the box. I got the blue and silver pairs. Came the next day. Everything is very clear hearing wise ! No problems haven’t had cutouts I think they will last a long time.

Decent value. Not built to last long under daily use.
Got these to help handle care for an elder family member with mobility issues. Huge help for a pretty moderate price. I ended up buying two silver ones and may buy two more, because the batteries last about a day and there is a SUPER IRRITATING beeping noise periodically once the charge hits 75%. Not sure why I need a regular beeping noise to remind me a battery discharges steadily with time. I can't say I'm grateful for the feature during the two or three hours sleep I am getting. That said they work well for the job with adequate range for around the house, but I doubt the range is actually measured in miles vs feet. One very obvious downside. They're pretty fragile for drops above knee high. One screen is already malfunctioning from a drop of about waist high on a hard floor. These are definitely not built to last long under daily use. I'm hoping to get through this broken bone and maybe the next injury. I'll be impressed and surprised if they all make it a year, still functional.

Breaker breaker - Walkie Talkies are great but the seller is even better! Over.
Product review is solid. We bought these for a kids scavenger hunt in our neighborhood and they worked FAR better than we ever dreamed. Far distances and clear communication. Very happy with that. Now the seller review. One walkie talkie did not work. It turned on, but simply would not work. My hubs and I did every thing we could to connect it then we reached out to the seller who asked for photos of the screens on etc... they gave us factory reset instructions and kept emailing back and forth as we worked to figure this out. Eventually we all came to the conclusion this walkie was a dud. But here's what happened. They replaced it with no issues. No having to send back the broken one. They simply sent us a replacement. I am so grateful for the extra steps they took to really try to fix this issue, and the kindness that they displayed in our communication. I highly recommend buying from them. It wasn't their fault and yet they did all the right things. Thank you!
