Six MR16 12V Halogen bulbs in my kitchen needed replacing, mostly to reduce energy consumption and heat generation but also because it was becoming increasingly difficult to find replacement halogen bulbs.These GU10 lamp holders were the perfect replacement, allowing me to retain the existing recessed downlighter fittings but use far more energy efficient LED bulbs. As these GU10 lamp holders use mains voltage, it was a simple case of removing the 12V transformers and lamp holders and replacing with these.These lamp holders feature ceramic components and well-insulated wires to ensure resistance to any heat generated (although there is very little with LED bulbs) which are excellent features. They also have a good quality terminal box to allow you to connect your lighting wiring to the lamp holder without any danger of any live wires becoming exposed.As the LED bulbs I am using seem significantly more reliable than the old halogen ones, I am also finding that the need to replace blown bulbs is significantly less.If you are confident with doing this electrical work then I fully recommend this product. It is excellent value for money, easy to fit and great quality.

Good quality. I wanted them to convert some MR16 lamps to GU10, unfortunately the lamp holders are too deep to fit.

Sturdy, easy to install and junction box enclosed. Got these to replace old transformers for dimmable 50W halogen lights with dimmable LED lights. Very happy with these and the result.
