Last well
Good gloves for ranch and barn chores. They hold up well enough but then I can be hard on gloves. My bride wears them too so they're nice on the hands. Break in quickly.

Good Gloves
I used to buy this brand at a membership-only warehouse club, but we dropped out membership. I bought some other brand of gloves, but they caused finger joint calluses because in internal seams. The plainsman are a little lighter and wear out with heavy use (pushing compost matter through wire mesh), but they are comfortable and survive a lot of wet abuse (rain, mud) as long as you dry them out right away.

Work Great
They’re leather gloves… they do exactly what you need them to do.

Much better than regular leather work gloves.
I have been buying these gloves for many years; used to buy from Costco when I had a membership. They hold up much better than typical leather gloves available elsewhere. They are thinner, tougher hide than typical leather which gives improved dexterity and workability. They are also more comfortable to wear than leather.I recently bought some for my wife as well as we are clearing dead cedars on our property and she has gone through half a dozen of leather work gloves in very short order. These have already lasted longer than at least two or three pairs of regular leather gloves and still going strong.

Getting a good fit
These are nice gloves. I have short thumbs and fingers, so gloves never fit well. I soak these gloves and wear them dry to shrink the glove to fit my hand - and then oil them very well to soften the leather and further help to conform to my hand.

Quality Light Driving, Roping, or Light Work, Goatskin Glove.
Tight fitting let’s you use your fingers to pick things up. I used to get these at COSTCO for $19.00 but they stopped carrying them. A little more expensive but same Good Quality Goatskin Glove. The Original Gloves have an “Oval patch sewn onto the wrist area with the Circle PL Brand, and the name PLAINSMAN, they are apparently trying to save $$ by coming out with a glove without the extra patch and just stamping PLAINSMAN on the Glove. Try to get the older Glove to be sure of the Quality, I worry about quality when they start making changes. I have a pair of the Original Gloves that I have had for 10 years.

Awesome Work Gloves
I have used these gloves for like 20+ years. I bought other pairs from a hardware store. But, I moved, and never found these. Then, I decided to try via Amazon. My last pair was down to holes, and tears from all the years - I am delighted to have found the new ones. I saw the 2/9/18 write up by someone with a similar story - but they did not like the gloves. I had a totally opposite story. Mine are like they were - except brand new. I do feel the manufacturing process has changed, but, they appear to be wearing in the same as the other ones. I have found these give great protection while being soft and flexible (I am not a huge fan of the leather fronts, and knit back gloves.

Great fit, price, value. Been buying these for years
Been buying these for years at Sams. I always wear out one finger tip on each glove. Who knows why.Sams hasn’t been carrying these at my local store lately.Best value for a comfortable work glove. Get them wet while working and they will conform to your hand and be more comfortable after they dry.
