Does a great job: This is the best magnetic, vent mount phone holder I have used to date. It secures very well to the vent louvers, and the magnet is super strong. Would buy this again kn a heartbeat.

This magnetic phone holder is really strong and keeps my phone in place even on bumpy roads. The clip grips the vent tightly and doesn’t wobble. It’s easy to put the phone on and take it off with one hand, which is very convenient while driving. Compact, sturdy, and does exactly what I need.

I highly recommend this phone holder! I drive for work and get my phone in and out a lot at stops, so this is a better alternative to the traditional holder that you have to click/unclick to hold the phone in place or release. I also don't have to worry if my phone fits. I can swivel the phone at many angles...for the map, watching movies, etc. The magnets are super strong so the phone doesn't fall off if you hit bumps or anything, but not so strong that it is hard to get the phone off. I do recommend holding the part that is clipped on the vent and putting your phone on and pulling it off a few times when you first get it, to weaken the magnets just a little so it doesn't put so much pressure on the vent and isn't too hard to pull off with one hand. I have used mine almost every day for over 5 months and it still has a strong hold. I have ordered 4 more for other people that liked mine and 3 more for myself for "backup" in case I can't get them when I need them. I am curious, though, as to why the picture shows 2 of the round magnets, because the box only contains one. That's the one I prefer because it is smaller. I was concerned that the magnet being on my phone case would snag when putting in in my back pocket, but nope! It slides in with ease. Very happy with this product!

I bought this because the previous cellphone holder that I had partially blocked the charging port on my phone. My phone is kind of old and I have to stay on top of the battery to make it through the day, so charging it on my way to/from work or on long trips is essential. This mounts by hooking onto one of the slats in the dashboard vent. The hook is then retracted until it captures the slat tightly. This is not a problem with vents that have slats of the same depth, but the vent on my dashboard is curved. This tends to skew the holder upward as it is tightened. I had to try a few times until I could get it to hold securely and not slip out of position. This puts a lot of pressure on a single vent slat, and we'll see if the holder and/or the slat decide to break over time. The magnetic mount is nice because it leaves the entire perimeter of the phone unblocked, but you need to have a case with steel in it for the magnet to attract. My phone case doesn't so I had to bond one of the included steel plates to the back of it. I initially tried to slip the steel plate between the phone and case (something the instructions tell you NOT to do, to be fair) but the distance between the magnet and plate is too large to keep the phone in place. My case doesn't have a flat back, and I was afraid that the self-adhesive steel plate would not bond well so I used 3M high-bond double sided tape to adhere the plate to the outside of my phone case. This is VERY secure-- I'm pretty sure I'd bend the plate before it ripped off the back of the case-- but it makes the plate stick up from the back of the case by 1/8". As a result it snags on other stuff in my pocket and it has a hard time fitting in the phone holder on my motorcycle. Note that this is not the fault of the holder AT ALL-- it's merely an experiment on my part that didn't work. In the future I'll probably switch to a magnetic case for my phone, IE one that has a steel stand on the back. That will be a cleaner solution than the hodge-podge that I have on there now. Keep that in mind if you have a phone case where it will be difficult to adhere a steel plate. I used the holder for the first time this morning. I can tell you that the magnet GRABS ON FOR DEAR LIFE. I stuck my phone onto it and drove to work, and my phone didn't budge a bit. I'm really impressed with the strength of the magnet. So far I like this holder, and I'll like it even more when I get a new phone case. I'm a little leery of how it clips onto the vent, and time will tell how durable that installation is. For the moment however, this holder is working very well and holds my phone quite securely.

I didn’t like that it comes w/ magnetic to stick on your phone case(it’s really difficult to come off) and my phone is heavy so it didn’t hold it well. I wouldn’t buy it again.

Just installed and phone connects to it wonderfully! It hooks on to the air vent, which I didn’t know until I went to install it. Previous phone mounts adhered to the car itself. I like this idea much better. Great product at a great price

Cheap but great value, love how it grips the vent vane like a Jack Russell with a squeaky toy lol. Best mount I've ever had, so convenient. Some one-star reviews complain the magnet is weak. I have a heavy phone and the magnet is super strong. The only downside is very weak plastic and the hook snapped. Super glue fixed it, but I need to be careful pulling phone away as it might snap again

I bought this mount to install on my 2011 VW Golf but did not want to have any nasty adhesive residue on my dashboard that comes with other phone mounts. The Good: 1.The mount is easy to install after reading the instructions, the tightening mechanism is intuitive and allows fine adjustments to get the perfect angle to see the screen. 2.I love the fact that it's a magnetic mount with powerful magnets that keep your phone attached but allows you to dismount your phone with ease. 3.It's also really useful that you can reuse the mount without requiring any adhesive- I placed the metal plate in my phone case and it was sufficient to get my phone to "stick". The not so good: 1.You really have to tighten the screwing mechanism to ensure that your phone does not tilt or get readjusted when driving over bumps. I find myself sometimes having to readjust the angle of my phone (heavy Google pixel 6 Pro) when riding over bumpy roads. Overall, I think this product is easy to use and provides great value given that it can be reused on other cars. It also does what it's advertises. UPDATE: 9 months later and the holder is still sturdy as ever I recommend this product!
