It says that it uses butane gas but some of the reviews are saying it uses lighter fluid. Does it work with both?

It is a butane only burner. It uses butane gas which is in liquid form when it is in the can. The can is labeled "BUTANE" Some lighters, including cigarette lighters, use butane gas and others use lighter fluid, hence the confusion. This burner does not work with "lighter fluid."
