Solid and Comfortable Handlebar for My Son’s Ridstar
I picked up this Wake 720 mm handlebar for my son’s Ridstar, and it turned out to be a great upgrade. The first thing we noticed was how lightweight it is for its size, yet it still feels very sturdy. The matte finish looks really nice and gives the bike a cleaner look. Once installed, the bike immediately felt easier to control. The extra width gives my son more stability, especially when turning or riding on uneven ground. He said the riding position feels more natural now, which is exactly what we were hoping for. After several rides, everything is holding up perfectly. For the price, it’s a very solid buy.

Great Handlebars for Enhanced Control
I recently installed the Wake 31.8mm MTB Mountain Bike Handlebars on my Specialized Rockhopper, and I am pretty pleased with the upgrade. These handlebars fit perfectly on my mountain bike and have improved my riding experience. One of the first things I noticed is how wide these handlebars are. Initially, it felt unusual, but I appreciated the added width. The extra width provides better control and stability, especially on rough trails and tight turns. It gives me more confidence when navigating challenging terrains. The build quality was excellent, and the installation was straightforward. The handlebars feel sturdy and durable, holding up well to rigorous rides. Despite the width, they maintain a sleek and stylish look on my bike. While I need time to get fully accustomed to the broader bars, the benefits of control and handling are undeniable. Overall, the Wake 31.8mm MTB Mountain Bike Handlebars are a great investment for anyone looking to enhance their mountain biking experience. Highly recommended!

Nice looking bar
After getting a few rides in with this bar using 2 different bikes this is what I've noticed; 1) the bar is crazy light compared to the factory aluminum bars 2) the rise helped with my hands going numb, a problem I've had for 30+ years 3)when installed on one bike it had a noticeable creek/click, wrote that off to a bad interface with stem, 35mm clamp with spacers to drop down to 31.8 4)installed on current bike didn't hear any creeking, just an occasional click, may be coming from my fork, swapped thru axle and sound is coming from down low Fit with proper size stem is good, the finish is nice, bar is 780mm wide. Function as they should, don't know if it's strong enough to handle going down the side of a mountain, it's pretty flat in my area.

Bike Turns Faster
This bar is exactly what I needed by changing my previous Dutch style commuter to a much more responsive livelier bike. I now able make tighter turns, without having my elbows get in the way. The total width of the bars at 720mm are just wide enough for any urban street cycling, and can get you in between most tight spaces, as my previous Dutch style bars were 660mm wide. My bike now looks much more aggressive and sporty, and is able to put more leverage while turning, overall the modification from a commuter style to a MTB riser bar makes the bike handle much quicker, at the expense of comfort. Keep in mind that my bike already has a adjustable stem, so the rise change is minimal for me as I was only looking to change the grip angle. Weight of the bars is also fairly light, and is good value compared to other options. Buy this handle bar if you want to prioritize quick handling over comfort.

Insane wide bar
I added this to a 2012 cross-country MTB hardtail bike. I did this at the same time I swap stems. Applying down-hill (DH) geometry, I raise the bar up as high as I could and moved it as far back as I could (with a short stem). The curved rise in the bars helped in addition to the steering tube that I purposely left long when I installed it years ago. Unlike a road bike, you do not want your weight over the front tire on a MTB. This totally revived a bike that I though was well past it's time. I was going to place this on a newer bike, but after seeing a report of a Wake bar fail on the web, I held off. I had a bar fail on me. It was carbon. So learning metal bars can fail too was shocking. This bar is holding up. I'm a heavy adult. And one reason I don't do air. But I am confident that Wake got it right and has made a good bar that I can trust. BTW, my aluminum 2012 Gary Fisher Trek is light and awesome and as capable as any newer carbon hard-tail MTB. Don't ride in traffic! Be safe! Peace

NICE RISE AND BACKSWEEP, I CAN NOW SIT UPRIGHT ON MY MTB
Yes, I am finally cruising sitting upright on my MTB !!! The 9 degree backsweep and 3 degree upsweep gave me the rise I needed to stop from hunching over and hurting my back. I ordered the 720 mm bar, it was so long I had to cut it down 3 cm on each side with a pipe cutter. That made it 660 mm. I lost a little of that precious height, but I could finally weave through traffic smoothly ... without the danger of such a wide bar. But those first few rides with the 720mm wide bar were like holding on to the wings of my new flying bicycle. Really, you have to try it! It was amazing, ... although looks a little awkward at that length. The construction is top notch, lightweight and thick alumiinum, I do not see it breaking especially after cutting it down to the new shorter 660mm length. At longer lengths I could see it stressing possibly for downhill. Paint is a OK, not a thick, epoxy finish or anything special! It will probably mark up after tightening all brakes and stem clamps. Got what I wanted at a great price, 5 stars!
