Q: How long does product last in refrigerator? Does the label give storage info? Thanks!

It’s *very* salty. I’ve never gotten a jar this big — usually I just get 2-4oz jars of a different brand at the store and they get eaten in one sitting, tho I think once I fridged a bit for 24-36 hours — but I can easily imagine myself polishing this 12oz jar inside of 4 days max, and I’m pretty sure it would be fine for a week in the fridge as long as you screwed the cap back on tight. Fresher caviar that isn’t so salty wouldn’t last as long, but this is also heat-canned so unless you get some salt-resistant bacteria into the jar after you open it, it’s virtually guaranteed not to grow any nasties in your fridge for a long long time. At worst the texture might suffer over time. How long would you keep lox (opened package, but in a ziploc bag) in your fridge? This should last longer than that.

It's NOT junk. It's good quality LUMPFISH caviar, at a good price. It is NOT sturgeon caviar (which I couldn't afford) but it IS exactly what it claims to be.

The jar says, "Product of Denmark."

Q: What is the "sell by" dating duration on an average shipment? unopened

Hi, I noticed may buyers had the same question. The expiration date is written around the lid. Also, feel free to contact seller they have great customer service. I don't eat this caviar. I use it for facial and hair mask . Take care.
