Mirror Glaze Swirl Remover (No.9) Removes Light Scratches Swirl Marks & Mild Defects 16 Fl

When lacquer and shellac finishes need mild rehabilitation, this leaves a haze-free finish, just as it does on auto paint. I work primarily on antique clock cases, so individual areas tend to be small, allowing me to apply it by hand. I can't say how it would work on very large areas applied by machine. Applied by cloth or pad, it gives a high gloss. Applied with 0000 steel wool, it gives a sheen just short of a gloss that's a good match for many original factory finishes. Open grain retains residue that shows up on dark-colored finishes. I add dark brown aniline dye to the Meguiars so the retained residue doesn't appear. I finish with either clear or colored paste furniture wax to preserve the final effect.

The name of the product is Mirror Glaze. Although it may work on mirrors as well, it is used to polish the paint on your vehicle. There are several different Mirror Glaze products to clean and restore automotive paint. Many auto body shops and auto detailers use these products. I've been using them for over 30 years. Using a random orbital buffer, you can often make the paint on your car look new again.

Tried it on sewing machine bed and it helped restore it. Needs elbow grease!
