8 oz and 6 oz patties
I've had this a little over 10 months now and it's time to get more papers for it. I have the 5 inch model and normally press out a 6 or 8 oz patty, which takes about 20 minutes to do 2 10 lbs chubs from Costco, that includes weighing out a gob of 6/8 oz meatballs to press. Taking it apart to clean it is a pain but there are much worse things in life. Would strongly recommend this, just remember you are pressing ground beef and not axle bearings, putting your shoulder into it and grunting is not required. Use it right and it should last a good long time

Made making Pattie’s way faster than old school single patty press
This is so slick! Made making pork patties and venison patties so much easier and WAY faster!! Quality built as ease of use is great! Buy it and don’t think twice about it if you make a bunch of burgers….

Fast and efficient
I recently made a large bulk purchase of ground beef and needed a convenient way to turn that meat into hamburger patties. This press is (almost) perfect. It is fast, efficient, and makes very consistent patties. I have two minor issues with this press and one of those is my own fault -- I bought a 5-inch press when I should have gotten the 4-inch model and these are a bit thinner than I would prefer. My other complaint is that I wish there were more space for meat when loading the press. The press plate only leaves about an inch of space to load the meat into the patty-forming mold -- that works fairly well, but it means doing a pre-press by hand before putting the meat in. With a bit more space, I could simply put a 1/4th lb scoop of meat on the plate and let the machine do all the work of pressing. As I said, a very minor issue but something to consider.

Great burgers
We love this patty maker. It took a bit to get used to it using, but we love it. For some reason our patties were turning out lopsided, so we pressed down, turned it 180 degrees and pressed down again, it turns out perfect. Make sure you press the hamburger tight into a ball to get air pockets out before trying to press it. I purchased this 6 inch patty maker because we like big burgers, but I think the 5 inch is more the size of most hamburger buns. Again, I prefer the 6 inch, especially with a bunch of burger toppings. I noticed some of the reviews think there's no clearance to get the hamburger into the press. They just aren't using the machine correctly, there's a button you need to push to get it to drop down so you have the clearance you need. This machine, is awesome, I recommend it.

Simple, Nice tool
Really like the product. Easy to use. Makes a really nice 8oz patty that fills the bun nicely. The instructions could be a little better. There is a button on side side that drops the bottom “plate” that should be pressed before filling for pressing. The press works great!

Not great
Over all well built. But, it smashes the burgers uneven badly. One side of the burger as thin as paper and other side is half inch thick. Cannot see any way to fit it.I am adjusting my review. All of the previously mentioned review was accurate at that time. But, It broke after 5 days of use. It looks heavily built but It only smashed maybe 200 burgers and then broke. I would not suggest buying this.

Big Hamburgers
I like the size. I weigh the 80/20 ground beef to 8oz. Flaten it. Put it in the press and then use 18 oz. buns. The perfect 1/2 Lb. Burger. Well built patty press. Great purchase!
