I installed this Magicalmai inductive hour meter on my new Honda lawn mower, and it's been absolutely fantastic. It's a compact device, easy to install, and exactly what I needed to accurately track usage hours for proper maintenance scheduling.Installation took only a few minutes—I wrapped the included wire about five times around the ignition coil lead (spark plug wire), secured everything neatly with the provided adhesive tape, and used an extra zip tie through the mounting holes for added peace of mind. No external power needed—it picks up pulses directly from the engine.The device started logging hours immediately after installation, accurately tracking every mowing session. Now I can easily see exactly how many hours I've run the mower each week, which eliminates the guesswork and makes oil changes and other maintenance tasks a breeze. I installed this on my new Cub Cadet XT1 LX46 with Kawasaki engine (not Kohler). I popped the blank cover with a flat blade screwdriver and drilled three holes with a .12" bit. I used the included screws taking care not to over-tighten. Using a piece of a thin wire coat hanger wire, I routed the included wire around the fuel tank towards the right plug along the rubber tube. Note that there is a Molex connector with green and white wires that is plug into the back of the removed cover. It is obviously for an OEM gauge of some sort, but not used. I used a piece of wire to temporarily tie it to the steering wheel so it would not disappear into the hole. I used the white and green wires as a guide to direct the black hour meter wire.The rest is per the package instructions. The full length of wire was used.I fired up the engine and the meter is working (flashing hourglass) , although I did not want to leave it idling for six minutes to get the first 0.1 hour to display for these photos.

Bought this for my YFZ450 Didn't think it would good since the way i wrapped it around my coil but it’s doing good and works great didn't wanna spend $30 on one i will be getting another one of these when ever i need another one! Works great

Great little product, works as expected. Would recommend.Only issue is with Amazon on the shipping. Was told I would receive on Saturday (one day shipping when ordered), arrived on Sunday. Big deal, no it’s just the principle.
