Best birdscare yet
We have an acre of blueberries and constantly battle the birds. We tried the tyvek variety of bird kite that looks good but hangs limp in the morning dew and doesn't last long without ripping, and the black nylon variety which lasted well and flew ok but didn't look real enough to scare the birds. This is the best of both worlds. We hung one off a 31' pole with a swivel mount at each end of the crop area. They flew beautifully in low and high wind and looked incredibly realistic even hovering in no wind. We watched the birds come close and shy away and even had real hawks come in to check them out. They lasted our 8 week season without damage and will be used again next year (or we may keep them out because they're so much fun to watch!). I highly recommend this product.

Keeps birds off my dock canopy.
Don't have to clean the top of my dock canopy any more. And hummingbirds at the house don't mind it."Fishing pole" really flexes, giving a great show.Trailing edges of wings showed some fraying after 40+MPH winds.

If having streamers on wing tips are OK for you, this bird will be just fine
The kite comes with about 10 foot dual ribbons at the end of each wing. I wanted to use the bird in my vineyard. With the 10 foot ribbons they kept getting tangled in the grape vines, locking the kite down. When the kite flew, it flew great. I folded the ribbons in half making four 5 foot ribbons off each wing. The kite still flew just great and the ribbons no longer got stuck in the vines. Easy to assemble but I am a mechanical type of person. I put the pole at a bit of an angle and with a slightly shorter string, the kite never touches the ground or the vines when there is no wind at all. Made well, but has only been flying for a few days. I purchased a 'professional' hawk kite for $145 and both kites are on a par. I am now ordering other kites from other vendors and trying them out. The pictures here are of the kite with the ribbons folded back on to the wings, and cutting at the ends so there are now four 5 foot ribbons on each wing instead of the original two 10 foot ribbons. Without the ribbons, the kite will not fly correctly, almost at all. If it flew without the ribbons, an easy 5 stars.

Nice little bird
I made this purchase about a month ago to use on a pole not as a kite. It is out all the time and seems to be doing well. I suggest dabbing a small dot of glue on the connectors as it will come apart depending upon the strength of the wind. I use it as yard decorations but think it would work nicely for a garden to keep critters from eating your plants. I also took the long strips off as they kept getting tangled on my poleCame in timely mannerEasy to assembleWould buy from this company again

Falcon Kite
Just what I was looking for. Hoping to get rid of birds by flying this kite

Well worth it.
I bought this kite to scare seagulls off my roof. This kite is way better than the other kites for sale on amazon. Other kites did not last more than 3 days under 10mph winds or less. This kite not only is made better but has outlasted the others by 3 weeks and still looks as new as the day I put it up. I only wish it came with a pole to mount it.

The scoop
I loved this kite the minute I saw the picture, so I'm writing this to help those who want to put in the effort. This isn't a basic kite you will have to put work into it.. You'll need to adjust the wing lines because they aren't perfectly balanced. Just wrap the bridle line loop around the wing frame to take up slack that is throwing the kite off balance. This means a lot of trial and error. Kids and frankly most adults don't have the patience but if you do, you will love it. I love the realism so I took off the kite tails

Inferior product
I have flown countless amounts of kites of different styles. Stunt kites, simple kites--I've flown kites (just for fun and thanks to a very windy day and lots of fishing wire) almost a mile in the air. This kite is one of the worst I've ever flown. It is all looks, no performance. On a day with a good wind, I managed, after many patient attempts, to get the kite about 20 feet in the air before it came crashing down. The design is unbalanced. It comes with long tails that can be attached to the wings in order to balance it, but they don't work, and even if they did work, it would no longer look like a bird of prey.If you are looking for a kite that actually stays up in the air, this is not your kite. If you are hoping to use this with children, they won't be able to get it into the air at all (you have to really know what you are doing to get it up at all--and even then, it will come crashing down due to the flawed design).Clearly a product intended only for its looks. Hang it on your wall and it will look good. Just don't try to fly it.
