The lamborghini of them all
I saw many other salad spinners and did not like any because they were either cheap plastics or they had some kind of mechanism that just did not work. Not this one. First you feel is the large weighted stainless bowl. This is not cheap thin metal, it is very stable in form! The mechanism in the top is extremely smooth and spins very fast. The lettuce is in plastic basket and as you probably read with other reviews it has also a plastic part that goes at the bottom of the bowl to center the basket. Not sure what other reviewers complain about, but this part makes everything work really well. You remove this, the basket and the top, and you have a nice bowl for other work. The cover is stable and the spinning mechanism can be disassembled with 2 hand tightened levers. When you do this, everything is easy to clean into the last corner. They are currently not easy to get - they come and go with stock - a little expensive, but well worth the money.

Best Salad Spinner I've Used!
I have gone through 3 salad spinners in the last 8 years. One was a pretty cheap one from a grocery store, the other 2 were pretty good brands. All of which were made of 100% Plastic. 2 had broken with cracks by force simply by trying to get it to spin faster... maybe I'm expecting too much speed from those. This salad spinner is beatiful! The metal bowl is heavy! The crank handle is very smooth during operation and it spins very fast! Other spinners I've used tend to shake and get really loud and make snapping sounds when you try to over spin it. (Oops!) this spinner is so smooth you don't have an urge to try to spin the crap out of it. It works so smoothly and spins so fast i don't have to try to over spin! Ive used it only once on some spinach i needed to clean since my last one got recycled and i needed to get it washed before it got slimy. The spinach was nice and dry! The lid is very nice and sturdy. I love that i can take it apart for cleaning! I dont care about the higher price point. You do get what you pay for and i feel i got my money's worth! Very excited to use this spinner in the future.... I must add that I do NOT like cleaning greens. I find it tedious... and this makes it pleasant! Love it!! I must add that I was pleasantly surprised on the size of the bowl. It's pretty big. Pictures on amazon dont show how large it is and i find it quite large enough! Also, the plastic basket that spins is pretty heavy duty... most spin baskets are kind of flimsy... not this one!! Can I give this 10 stars? Very happy with this spinner!!

Not worth the investment
Not worth the money. I've tried many spinners over the years and took the leap with this one based on reviews & a good discount on an open-box model. After only 10 uses, three of the 8 plastic "fins" that catch the bowl to spin it broke off. It's still usable but there's a high chance others break in the future, rendering the bowl unspinnable. Yes, I'll have a nice, heavy mixing bowl that I paid $75 for. Other than that, the spinner works just okay. I don't think it removes as much water as my previous Zylass did. The bowl slips around while spinning - a rubber base would be an improvement. Also the rubber stopper that you push to stop the bowl has come off and slipped inside the top a few times and is a pain to dig out and reinstall.

A beautiful, high quality kitchen tool!
I’m happy that I went ahead and purchased this when I had the money! It is a sturdy salad spinner that really works at draining off the water. I grow my own lettuce as well as other leafy greens so I needed something that would last! This is it! I appreciate that the stainless steel is a non porous substance so there is no concern of fungus, or mold spores taking root. Also, like the description states, it is dish washer safe. I do wash it in the dishwasher, but on a gentler cycle, just in case. When I pull it out, it is shiny and brand new looking! Also, the weight of this spinner is impressive. It is not flimsy!!!

Well made mechanism and bowl
Bowl is definitely “weighted” at the bottom and it’s almost perfect but the rim could be finished a little better to have a better feel since the bowl is so nice feeling otherwise but that’s just trying to find a flaw. The rubber seals feel quality and well thought out. The top comes apart easily to clean completely. The mechanism feels very smooth positive and solid while spinning, spun it fast as I can and it’s buttery smooth. I had romaine that I ripped apart and rinsed and sat in this for little over 2 weeks and it was just as fresh as when I bought it, for real. It works great to improve a salad especially if ur making it ahead of time, just give it a spin and it freshens right up to a nice crisp. Real review, I’m just a business owner/ boat mechanic that’s very hard on engineers and products R&D. I hate buying something that feels like the company never took the time to use it or let alone take the time to redesign it. ❤️🌎✌️🤘🏼 DGT

sturdy and effective
I use a salad spinner to wash mushrooms, which involves moving a large quantity of water around the bowl without (a) spilling or (b) breaking the spinner mechanism. I like the rosle's sturdiness here. My only dislikes, both mild: 1) the lid rubber seal is so strong it can be hard to separate from the bowl, and 2) there's a black plastic convex-cone piece, separate from both bowl and basket, which is the fulcrum around which the basket spins -- and this is exactly the kind of (to some) unidentifiable piece of plastic which when extracted from the dishwasher gets tossed someplace other than the rest of the tool of which it is a part. But other than those minor dislikes it's a good piece of kitchen equipment.

Rösle Stainless Steel Salad Spinner Review
Most salad spinners eventually crack, warp, or develop that greasy film that never quite washes away. This stainless steel version from Rösle sidesteps those familiar problems through superior materials and construction. The 3.5-liter bowl doubles as mixing and serving ware—useful when counter space is limited. The tempered glass lid seals properly for refrigerator storage, unlike flimsy plastic versions that never quite fit correctly after a few months of use. The manual spinning mechanism with its 4:1 gear ratio dries greens thoroughly without the mechanical complexity of push-button models that inevitably break. Everything disassembles completely for proper cleaning. At roughly ninety dollars, it costs considerably more than lesser alternatives. But for kitchens that see regular salad preparation, the durability and dual-purpose design justify the investment. Rösle’s availability of replacement parts—rare in today’s throwaway culture—adds to its long-term value.

Design Flaw
Poor quality plastic materials for inserts otherwise defeat the use of heavy duty stainless steel bowl. Plastic insert warps and does not maintain round shape making it very difficult to engage with gear mechanism - also the base insert is flimsy and does not connect well with the basket. Very poor design - would expect more for the high cost of this item.
