Bears and some of Mother Nature's other critters have taken over the woods around here and they are on the prowl. We love to watch all the critters that frequent our yards; however, when they are so hungry they have to attack our garbage can and we have to restore the garbage to the can it is a bother especially if they do it on the morning of collection. Deadly devices are not an option so we chose the Pyle-Pro PMP35R (PPP) as a method of reducing our visitors desire for food and other wonderful items such as Amazon boxes. PPP is an effective tool for giving the critters the boot but with humanity to a small degree. Mama bear is larger than our garbage can and she has at least two hungry cubs. We carefully powered the PPP and turned on the siren. I just wish I had a free hand to capture a picture of the three of them looking at me with such a scared look on their faces. You can just see the 6 red-eyes in the dark. Off to the woods they go and probably to grandma's house. So far they have not returned. Not only does the PPP have a shrill sounding siren but it has the capability to record about 10 seconds of any sound the user may desire. I recorded my voice calling the dogs and all I got was their barking because they do not like strangers and at times some of us are quite strange. Adjusting the volume is simple and easy. It claims a range of about 800 yards and that is an accurate claim. To test the claim I left the house with the horn in hand and turned on the siren and the sound could not be heard from at least 600 yards. No compensation was made for the hills, houses and trees. Thank goodness the neighbors were at work and for those who were at home they shook their heads and said there goes crazy man again. PPP is sturdy and constructed well. The plastic is of a quality material and should last quite some time. I sure am glad we have a few D Batteries on hand because we will be using them as long as we have unwanted visitors or our local PD tells us to stop with our antics. This is not only a fun product it is well made and we highly recommend it for any type of need that requires bullhorn techniques.

This is a beautiful product. After I added a couple of batteries and turned this baby on, I knew I had a winner. The two mutts that bark 24/7 absolutely froze and ran inside when I did my best bear growl. You can also leave it on and next to a speaker for nice "ampliphied" noise. Best of all, it has a built in siren (dogs love that) and you can record anout 10 seconds and play on a continuous loop. I like to record barking dogs. Then, just as the people with the mutts are going to bed (well, actually, i wait 15-20 min. Until they are nice and groggy), I put it near their fence, turn it on, and then head inside and listen to music or watch tv. One time, the police came and when I explained that it was not my dogs barking, but rather, was a recording of their dogs barking....he almost fell over laughing and then he gave me a stern warning ( :) ) and left. And I actually love dogs and I know it is the owner's fault, but in Los angeles, the city wont do anything, even if you win during arbitration....so I may get a second and third of this beautiful product. It works great, sounds good, is loud, and inexpensive. A winner all the way around.

Pros: -It's capable of being really loud. (Highly recommend if its purpose is to tell your upstairs neighbors to stfu, or if you need to call for someone across the house). - It uses D batteries - Once you get the hang of operating it, it's simple and easy to use. Cons: - Operating/assembly gave me some trouble in the beginning. - Not the most comfortable in the hand (some sharp pokey plastic protrudes where your index finger lays to hold it). - Product is top heavy, handle doesn't seem strong/long enough to distribute weight evenly. Overall, it's a good product. It gets the job done, and at a reasonable price.

It made a great gift and the money I spent on it was well worth it. I gave it to a person who is a coach on a baseball team for boys.

I needed to announce the golfers at a charity golf tournament. There was no electricity at the hole so I needed to to be heard with some method that did not need to be plugged in. I found this Pyle Megaphone Speaker PA Bullhorn on Amazon and the price was very reasonable, so I decided to give it a try. It worked great! People could hear my announcements all over the golf course. It was a perfect solution to my problem. I have bought many Pyle products in the past and have always had good results. Their products always seem to deliver more value than their competitors. Whenever I need to purchase an electronic product, I always search for Pyle.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Not as loud as describe. 30 wants makes you think it will be really loud. It wasn't. And all of these have a very tiny sound to them. Think of it as something between a toy and a real bull horn.. But it is inexpensive. So you get what you pay for..Depends upon your needs.

This bullhorn is great! It is just what I hoped for. It is not too heavy, has a folding handle and a handy looped strap. You are able to easily adjust the volume from just audible to very, very loud. The siren will be a great deterrent for possible invaders. My voice can now be heard outside in the field by my farmer husband as well as my grandchildren. I hope to tape some other sounds as it also has the capability of recording. In the meantime, the children have enjoyed trying it out, briefly. I am able to announce when it is lunch time and also alert them of other information. I found the cost to be fair and affordable.

Bought this for outdoor use and it’s been really impressive. The sound is loud and clear without distortion, even from a distance. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and simple to operate. Battery lasts well and the siren feature is handy when you need to get attention quickly. Definitely does the job and feels like good value for money.

I bought this when the horn on my work vehicle broke. I just used it to politely ask other drivers to "could you move up a bit please" or warn pedestrians in headphones who aren't looking before they step in the road in front of me. It works great! Far better than just beeping at people, which tends to be misinterpreted as hostility. Only issue I've noticed is that the siren function occasionally activates when the megaphone is in my bag and gets jostled. When it does, it makes me jump out of my skin! It is VERY loud! It's also kinda heavy as it runs off of 4 D type batteries. Would be brilliant for use in crowd control etc.
