Great replacement
In under 5 minutes I popped the small panel off, removed the connector, removed the old switch, then reversed the process with the new one. Problem fixed. On my old one the rocker switch broke so I couldn't select which mirror to adjust. This Dorman switch was a perfect fit and works like new. I don't know how long it will last, but the price was right, delivery was quick and replacement was easy.

Good replacement for AC Delco part
Replaced the dead mirror switch in my Impala with this part. It was cheapest on Amazon, costing just over half of what the local parts stores want for it. The GM part is also around $40. It fit and works just like the factory part.

It works, but you'll have to make an easy tweak.
Edit: I last purchased one of these in 2017, and it's time for another one. Unfortunately there's nothing for it but to continue replacing them. The motors in the mirrors just draw too much current for this switch. Again, I just transferred the original left/ right rocker switch onto my new part and it works good as new. This switch will fit most GM vehicles with a similar switch layout with very simple modifications that don't require cutting or filing. I couldn't find an exact replacement switch for my girlfriend's 2012 Malibu, even at the stealership, but this one works great... for now. To those saying the switch doesn't fit right in the bezel for the right/left selector switch, you're right, this one is too big. All you have to do to fix this is carefully pop the top part of the left/right rocker switch off your old and new one, and swap them out. No matter what variation of this switch GM used in your vehicle, you can use your original parts to make this one fit. Use a small pocket or surgical flat head screwdriver to do this, and don't worry, this doesn't reuse any of the electrical contact parts inside the switch, just the tactile, cosmetic part of the right/left selector. If you're handy enough to replace the switch, you'll have no problem doing a little surgery on the switch itself. These switches fail a lot, and its not really the switch itself that's the problem. You're going to have to buy more of these, but that doesn't mean this is a low quality part. GM and some other manufacturers don't use a separate control circuit with a relay to run things like power mirrors and windows. They allow the switch to handle all the electrical flow required to run cheap DC motors that draw too much current, making the switch heat up, melting the contacts.

Great, inexpensive replacement mirror switch for a 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx
Yes, this DOES fit a 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx! For some reason, Amazon's system says that this switch does not fit my car, but in fact it does fit! My story: the car's original mirror switch would no longer work to adjust either mirror, so figured that I'd give this inexpensive switch a try. I watched a video on YouTube about how to pop-out the plastic trim on the door to access the back of the switch. That part was a little difficult, but I took my time and didn't break anything. Once the trim was out, I removed all the wire harnesses to make it easier to leverage out the old switch. You have to carefully pry open both sides of the plastic holding the switch in place. That process took three screw drivers and a bit of patience. After the old switch was out, I simply popped the new one in place reattached the wires, pushed in the panel, and I was back in business!
