Fastest germination I've ever experienced! Tasty too!
The media could not be loaded. First, please ignore any reviews that states "it didn't work in a jar" as this is the first thing the company mentions in the description. I added a water bottle for scale but you get an incredible amount of seeds. I filled up a spare glass seasoning bottle and used some and it's still filled to the top! I believe these seeds will last me a year if not more. I will explain my process in case anyone is new to growing with medium.- I sowed the seed with an amended coco coir. I used sprouting trays and I added the thinnest layer possible. NOTE: I went a little overboard. I'm using a 10x10 in. tray. My seasoning bottle has big holes and a different top had holes not big enough. Next time I will sprinkle some in my hand so I have better control over distributing.- I then gave it a light watering with mist and covered with plastic wrap. I placed it in a grow tent under light. I misted it 2x until there were fully blooms sprouts then added place water to bottom feed from here on. NOTE: do not add too much water or root rot can set in. Pour off any excess water after coco is fully moist.- Within 6 hours, many seeds had cracked open and by 12 hrs I had fuzzy roots everywhere! I added a video to show them 48 hrs later. You will know when to water if the coco doesn't stick to your finger. As they grow more roots, you may want to start leaving more water in the reservoir as they will get thirstier but do not drown the roots! Just enough water left after the coco absorbs most it.- I personally have not ventured out in adding nutes but you definitely can but I'd dilute the recommended dose for seedlings.48 hrs later and I tried a small sample and oh baby are these spicy!! And I mean spicy. I love spice but if you aren't into more than a mild spice I don't recommend these. And if you are but find them to be too spicy, I'd grow them alongside a batch of regular micros and mix the two. I plan on buying another variety soon to go with these. You definitely will be getting your money's worth in quantity, quality, and taste!

Great for microgreens
Hi, I learned my lesson! I hope the company sees this and considers putting it right on the PACKAGE label that these are not for sprouts in jars--it would have saved me opening them--I didn't see their first paragraph in description. That said, I am now learning to grow microgreens with these, and the quality of the seeds is amazing: every single one sprouts! Will be harvesting in a few days. :)

Amazing mix and product
I have to say I am super impressed with this product. The seeds grow quickly and at almost 100% germination rate. The greens are super tasty and nutritious. I grow them in trays in a coconut coir substrate with organic fertilizer mixed in. These sprouts grow super fast, you can harvest them in as little as 2 weeks. But I also let a tray got to flower, which creates flower shoots that can be as tall as 1.5-2 feet. purple and white flowers. I have added these greens to salads, sandwiches, and pasta dishes and they are very versatile. Plus most of the plants leaves in this mix can be grazed or picked at will, leaving the rest of the plant to grow indefinitely. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to grow their own food. I praise this company for supporting non-GMO and heirloom products. Thank You!

24 Hour Germination
I was amazed to see these sprout in less than 24 hours. I did two batches. One in a window and one under a grow light. Grow lite did better, but once window batch got established, they flourished. It was about 4 days to be able to harvest. I used regular potting soil which seemed to do pretty good. Flavor was good, and plenty spicy. I may consider mixing something else in with it to mellow it out some. No complaints here. Seemed to get plenty of seeds for the money.

Not for JRar Sprouting. Must plant in ground or use tray
While in description which I did not read it says not for jar sprouting, would have been helpful in title. That is why I did not leave 5 stars as it does not meet my needs. Seeds secrete a mucus from an adaptation and clogs drainage. That said you get what they tell you. Quality seed for spicy microgreens. If you have a tray sprouter this is a wonderful mix. Just wish they said not for sprouting in the title

Looks are decieving!!!!!
The Spicy sprouting seed mix arrived in nice heavy resealable bag, indicting freshness. After trying twice to sprout these seeds I have Found they developed a slimy layer immediately after soaking in water and will not drain through the mesh in the sprouting lid. After a day the seeds begin smelling badly. On second attempt to sprout I added a few drops of bleach to kill anything on the seed surface that may have accumulated in pa ckaging, but it was the same result, slimy goo. Not a Doctor but I would bet money you will get sick.......

Learned a new way to sprout
I tried to soak and grow these seeds in a mason jar like other seeds, but I discovered that this mix includes gelatinous seeds that clump together and cannot be spread out enough in the jar. I found a video suggesting growing gelatinous seeds on paper on a plate. This works, but I found it very difficult to harvest them. To harvest, I cut them with scissors because the husks and slimy roots at the bottom are not good to eat and are stuck to the paper anyway. This was messy and time consuming. The other downside to this method is the need to spray them several times day to keep them from drying out. It's good when working from home however as I can babysit them. I cover them at night.I tried using the same method but ommited the paper towel. To my surprise, they grow up just as well and don't dry out any faster. My new idea is to grow them in small batches and harvest them at meal times. Harvesting is easier without the paper. These are truly a spicy mix that goes well with hummus in a toasted pita. I learned a new way to sprout seeds and I am happy with the outcome. The photo shows seeds just starting, greens on day 4, and greens on day 8. I am planning to grow 1 teaspoon of seeds twice a week so I will always have fresh spicy greens.
