The tool works really, but it does need instructions.
I found these tools worked really well after I discovered that there are 3 different sizes of quick links. The links are marked with a 9s, 10s, and a triangle. I needed the triangle marked link for my 7 speed bike. The other two links had too short of a shaft to make it through the chain.Additionally, the pins on the existing chain are not hard to punch out. The two comes with two sizes of pin pushers, and you need to use the narrow pusher to push the pin out, and if you are replacing a pin, the wider pin will do the job. I think that the reviewers who complained about stripping the threads on the pin pusher may have tried to push out the pins with the wide pin pusher which probably will not go through.A lot of the problems that people are having would be avoided if the company included at least a brief set of instructions.

It's great, good bang for the buck.
I ended up returning mine, because I found the same exact product with all of its accessories in a bigger set. So it didn't make any sense to buy just this one item, one for a few dollars more, I could get this item and a few other things.For what the prices, the quality is there to match.I probably wouldn't buy this thing if I owned a mobile bike repair shop or anything. It's just a tool that's there in case of an emergency, or for a once a year type repair.

Bicycle chain repair tool
Much easier to remove and install bicycle chain links with this tool. Worked perfectly to push out link pins. Much better than flat grinding the pin off the chain.
