Solaray D-Mannose capsules worked fast for me after other brands didn’t
Disclaimer: This is just my personal experience—I’m not a doctor, and this isn’t medical advice or a claim that it will work for everyone. Always consult a healthcare professional for UTIs. I’ve tried 5+ brands of D-Mannose capsules over the years for my recurring UTI symptoms. Most took weeks to months—even at high doses (3 capsules 3x/day)—and I still had to baby my water intake or I would regress very quickly. In my experience, Solaray was a game-changer. Honestly, it really was. Within less than 2 days of starting (2 capsules, 2x/day), my urgency and burning eased up a lot. By Day 3, those symptoms had faded completely for me. I’m guessing it’s the CranActin blend or just higher purity—either way, no taste issues, no side effects that I noticed. We stocked up during a sale. This is now my only go-to. If you’re dealing with similar frustrations, it might be worth a try. Tip: Take with plenty of water and a probiotics.

UTI prevention.
I love this brand in general very high-quality ingredients. This always helps me if I feel a UTI coming on and it stops it from completely taking over. Just need to take it consistently that day and it’s very good at being a preventative. I always recommend it to friends and family who are going through something similar.

Great supplement!!
Got this to upgrade cranberry intake. I have interstitial cystitis, and other health issues. I have suffered since 1994, This helps -- otherwise I would be in constant pain, anguish, having to have painful instillations!! I've avoided that for years now!! I thoroughly believe in the Solaray line of supplements!!

Prevents & Cures UTI'S
I have suffered from UTI's since the age of 15. I've had so many UTI's and many many doctor visits. I would typically get recurrent UTI's every 2-3 months and have to call my doctor. It was starting to get embarrassing to me because I did EVERYTHING in my power to prevent UTI's. Every Doctor I visited would become so baffled as to why I was getting them and would ask dumb questions like "Do you wipe front to back?" like I was a dirty person or something. I even switched doctor's here and there to get other doctor's perspectives and because I was embarrassed of going in for the same consistent problem every couple months. On my last visit, my Dr. said that I didn't have a UTI (That would happen every so often too, I would waste time and money visiting the doctor because of urinary pain, but not actually have a UTI). The urine test was negative of a UTI and my doctor asked me if I wanted to be checked for STD's. That comment made me upset. I have only been with one partner my entire life. It was also scary too because it was like nobody could help me prevent this urinary pain and UTI's. I felt like I was going to have to suffer with this problem my entire life. I had enough at that point and was beginning to become very very depressed due to this stressful issue. I also felt like a money maker for doctors. I was a consistent patient with my visits. My boyfriend was concerned for me and did some major researching and found out some people on a thread were talking about an over the counter supplement- D-Mannose and how it works just as well as taking antibiotics. They were talking about how it can prevent and cure UTI's. We found out that D-Mannose makes its way to your urinary tract, it targets E. Coli, the bacteria responsible for 90% of UTIs. Instead of killing E. coli, D-Mannose acts as a competitive inhibitor, meaning it attracts and binds with E. coli, so that the bacteria can be occupied and safely rinsed, preventing it from binding with your urinary tract instead. Solaray D-Mannose cured my last UTI I had and prevented me from having to pay for another doctor visit. I have been taking Solaray D-Mannose for several months now and have yet to have a problem since my last one was cured. I take 2- 1,000 mg everyday to prevent UTI's. To cure UTI's, I would double that, so 2- 1000 mg twice a day. I highly HIGHLY recommend this product, specifically "Solaray" brand D-mannose for those who are suffering like I have been for years of UTI's and urinary pain. The sad part is that D-Mannose is not actively talked about and a lot of people have not even heard about this supplement. Why aren't doctors telling patients about this product as a preventative?! If you type in google "over the counter meds for UTI," D-Mannose is not talked about. This is why I had never heard of it before until my boyfriend found it on a hidden thread. It needs to be more known! So much money could be saved by taking this over the counter supplement & the peace of mind by using D-mannose. Solaray D-Mannose supplement prevents and cures UTI's!

Part of physician recommended plan
I've been using this product for several months as part of my regimen to reduce the frequency of UTI's. I believe it is helping. They aren't completely gone but I've definitely had fewer episodes. I've had good results with Solaray products in the past so when my doctor suggested I use d-mannose, I chose this.

It does help alleviate the symptoms of a UTI, but...
They definitely work, better than drinking cranberry juice for me (apparently it's the D-Mannose, which is a sugar present in cranberries, which is believed to prevent bacteria from sticking to the walls of your bladder). It's a good stop gap, my concern though is using it for the long term. I had a friend tell me that they only take it once in a long while and that the bottle might expire before using much of it, but I'm finding that when I stop taking it, the infection returns. I'm kinda concerned about taking supplements in general. Supplements are poorly regulated. Some manufacturers may add ingredients not listed on the packaging, add more or less of the dose stated (which can be dangerous), or use something other than the product/herb stated. Even from batch to batch the quality may vary. It's also very possible that these products could be contaminated with substances such as lead, or even listeria (I think some gummy vitamins were recalled for listeria contamination not too long ago). I periodically check the fda website for recalls [...] or consumerlab [...] (though it's blocked by a paywall, you need a subscription, or perhaps your local library may be subscribed). There may be other resources as well. I don't think there are any studies regarding taking this supplement consistently over a period of time, so long term side effects are unknown. And taking this product over longer periods could be just masking symptoms of a greater problem. My understanding is that the bacteria from UTIs can spread and infect the kidneys if your condition is left untreated. If this product is preventing bacteria from sticking to the walls of your bladder, I wouldn't think it is eradicating the bacteria entirely or preventing it from spreading elsewhere in your body. There has to be a reason for the infection to recur. A friend of mine said that going on the Candida Diet got rid of her yeast infection and UTIs, while it's just hearsay, I might try it also, but I will talk to my doctor first.
