Excellent tool.
I have used this model of torque wrench for the better part of a decade now. This is an excellent tool, that I have come to trust and rely on. The longer handle on this specific model gives better leverage for tightening fasteners at the higher end of the torque range. The adjustment collar and handle are very intuitive to use and do not shift adjustment on accident like some other designs I have used. The knurling on the handle grip is excellent, and provides good grip even in wet, oily, or muddy conditions. The large torque range of 30-250 lbs makes this perfect for virtually any automotive task. This is an excellent, high quality tool, and one I use almost daily at the shop, or out in the field.

Quality Wrench
Need my glasses to set it but that’s not the wrench’s fault. Breakover when torque is reached is easy enough to identify. If not used to using torque wrenches though, you may prefer to opt for one with a ‘beep’.

Perfect for the price.
Works great. It’s accurate. Heavy duty. Can’t beat it for the price.

GearWrench is worth it!
Tool works grate and has a very good mechanical feel and finish. I bought this to torque axel shaft retainers, and other high torque bolts on my truck that I work on seldom. I needed the 1/2" drive for the deep well sockets that I use on my impact gun. Very easy to adjust and locks positively in place. I like the engraved numbers as I have other torque wrenches that have stenciled in numbers and when cleaning the tool they have faded away. It is very well made and the tear drop head makes it easier to access small places. Also the direction of the ratchet is done by a lever cam which is much better, IMO, than a rotary cam which allows you to grip the back of the ratchet head and torque with control. Great tool and I would recommend this to too anyone looking for a quality tool that will be used occasionally, and accurate enough to satisfy most all automotive needs for the average mechanic. It comes with a great carry case too!

Long handle works great for TIGHTENING bolts....not loosening.
Did many months of casual research before deciding on this torque wrench and I'm quite happy with my decision. I like it's all metal construction, no plastic handle or locking collar to break. The knurled metal handle with locking collar are easy to adjust and stay where you set them. I chose this one in particular because of it's length....at nearly 2 feet it makes tightening lug nuts almost too easy, and the top range of 150 ft/lbs should be good enough for jut about anything on my vehicles. I also liked that it came with a Calibration Certificate which shows that the manufacturer has faith that it's product will be accurate....see pics. I have used it now for two years each time I swap summer and winter wheels and so far it shows no sign of wear or stress on the socket head so I feel like it's good quality steel. Just FYI, anyone using a torque wrench for breaking loose nuts or bolts should be looking for a Breaker-Bar......Torque Wrenches are calibrated precision instruments and are only for tightening bolts down to factory spec and you will ruin it trying to break loose fasteners....especially if they are rusted or seized.

All metal design; wish the click were more pronounced
Lately, I have been starting to really like GearWrench products. For this torque wrench, I particularly appreciate the all metal design. My Crescent 1/2 inch torque wrench has a plastic adjustment ring which is already developing a crack after only a few years of light use. Seems to be high quality and has a nice solid “feel” (haven’t yet checked the accuracy), however I wish the “click” when at the desired torque was more pronounced. Particularly at lower torque settings you need to really pay attention to hear and feel the click. Other than this minor gripe, is a nice, solid torque wrench.

Works amazingly
Works as described. Exact torque specs when tested with other torque wrenches.
