Overall, a great set of chips. Great Value.
GREAT customer service. I had a damaged case, they sent a new one as soon as I sent a pic. THAT’S How you do it!!They feel great and sound solid. The chips aren’t 13.5g, they range from 12.4g to 13.1g - which is plenty hefty. There is a “connection point” on each chip where they are separated from the mold / press, that protrudes a bit - it’s a little sharp / rough … i used a small knife and was able to remove all of thrm in less than an hour - now they stack beautifully. For this excellent price, you can’t expect perfection. I would buy these again, overall they’re truly excellent.

Chips are great, but require TLC when you get them
The chips are great compared to a lot of others at similar price points, but the cards are trash just like any other poker set I've come across at this price or less. Like the cards, the case also seems like the bare minimum, it's pretty flimsy and I don't totally trust it.As a few other reviewers have mentioned, the chips come looking dirty and scratched up, but there's a relatively easy, although time consuming fix for this that makes them look great. It seems like they were just never treated or conditioned after they were sanded or smoothed in whatever way. This leaves them looking dusty and rough around the edges, and leaves scratch marks on the face of the chips. To fix this, you'll need to wash them in water and mild detergent, dry them, and then treat them with some kind of plastic protectant. I just used mineral oil (initially intended as a wood cutting board conditioner), but there are lots of other options including Armor All, castor oil, or any product marketed as a plastic protectant. You'll just need to get a terry cloth somewhat saturated with whatever product you choose to use, then use that to rub down each of the pre-cleaned and dried chips, and then a dry microfiber towel to rub off any excess from them. It's tedious, and honestly might take a couple hours to do all 500. They're great in the end, but it's a process. To be frank, the only reason to buy this set is for the chips, and you can buy them in 10 different colors in 25 ct packs on their own for less on other sites. Just search "z striped poker chips" and you'll find them. Total for this many chips is around 60, so maybe it's worth it for the case, cards, dice, and dealer button, but you be the judge.

Extremely pleased with my very first poker chip set
This review is showing up under my wife's name as she is the Amazon Prime account holder. Delivery was very fast. I ordered this set on Sunday and received it on Wednesday thru Prime. I choose this particular set because of the design, chip weight (13.5 grams) and because it didn't have any printed values or stickers. I was a bit leary as this was my very first poker chip set I had ever purchased and because of some comments that I had read that mentioned problems with the case being dented or damaged during shipping along with a weak handle and the chips sometime having blemishes or imperfections. I'm happy to report that the case arrived intact and the chips all seemed to be in excellent condition. I've read where you can/should wash the chips with a mild detergent to remove some of the residue left from the manufacturing process. I didn't do this and just removed them from the plastic wrapping (rolls of 50 chips). I'm careful not to use the handle on the case as it is rather heavy when filled with chips and I don't want to take the chance of breaking it. I used them on Saturday and got a lot of positive responses about the chips. I'm not even sure what the dice are for but they seem to be ok. The dealer button is nice to have but we never used it. I replaced the decks of cards with Bicycle brand as most of the comments have mentioned that the ones that come with the set are not worth using. The biggest bonus came when my friend gave me his dad's solid wood folding poker table top that is probably at least 40 - 50 years old. It has the original felt top with felt lined chip compartments and drink holder. They just don't make them like that anymore.

This is a good chip set
This is a good chip set, it is not perfect but it's exactly what I wanted. These are composite chips, have a great weight, and feel, in fact they feel more like clay chips then any other composite chip I've handled, I think due to the fact that they seem to have a bit of texture on the surface and are not as smooth as the other composite chips I've seen, this also seems to give them a more Matt like finish to their color, making the colors just a little less bright (a feature I prefer). As another reviewer has mentioned every chip has a small imperfection, presumably where the material was injected in the mold, and as a different reviewer stated the chips came very dusty/dirty, but clean up pretty well but a few of the chips appear to have small stains that are the color of the "z" stripe. A picture is provided in order to try and better illustrate the colors with a separate set of composite chips I bought a while ago (they no longer seem to be made, I can not find them anywhere), and as is typical with these type of sets the case cards and dice are just About worthless. I store my chips in a Brybelly 1000 count acrylic case.

Perfect for home games
I read a lot of reviews on a lot of sets, and it sounded like you couldn't find a good set for a decent price, this one included. But I decided to go for it anyway. And I'm glad I did! The chips are great! Great weight to them and they look great. The cards aren't bad either, which I thought they would be. The case is a little iffy for the weight of the chips, but it seems serviceable. All in all, if you're looking to throw some home games, this is a really nice set.
