Like cast aluminum, not flimsy sheet metal or plastic. No install screws
Nice exterior air inlet/ outlet that is a cast metal product, not sheet metal or plastic.Nice fine-mesh bug screen attached as well.If I had a suggestion for the design, it would be to either pre-drill two screw holes to attach it with. But theoretically it could be either attached to the pipe inside, or applied with some kind of caulk or mastic from the outside. The problem with attaching it permanently though is that it would be very hard to clean the screen if it gets clogged with debris.

It's metal, it will likely last decades, it's no joke.
Of course I just installed it immediately on a vent fan, you will need a cowling to attach it to a straight 6 inch bathroom "fart" fan.It is not large enough to fit around the "fart" fan I purchased, so I fashioned a cowling to screw it on, then taped it for waterproofing.I'm no "fart" fan installer, so didn't do the full blown correct solution.Best to read other reviews of how to attach it best.Is the product super durable, it's high quality metal, and high quality coated, looks like one that will last literally decades in contact with nature.

I purchased two of these as air flow vents for a chicken coop. They work really well and are predator proof.

Wrong dimensions
The mounting diameter is wrong. 3.9” is incorrect. It is 5”. So if you order a whole saw to install this get a 5” whole saw bit not a 4” like the listing says.

This is a quality die-cast piece
Nice quality heavy duty part. I used the 3 inch/82 mm size as vent ports for a pond aerator enclosure. I found that the galvanized wire used in those political yard signs works very well when using the side mounting holes.

The screen on inside was partly off when brand new.Defeating the purpose of the screen. Cheap product. Do not recommend.
